i went up to the peace arch park today. had lots of fun. took as many pictures as i could using what little space is on the camera. peace arch, looking south from canada
as i walked along the grass and past the stone international boundary marker, i had this strange feeling that in this country i was free. more free than i can be in the usa. it's kind of sad and pathetic that the country to which i belong doesn't care about freedom for all. flag in the flowers
being so close to one of the most free nations in the world is so very cool. back in the usa part of the park, i walked along 0 ave, and apart from the speed limit sign in km/h, you couldn't tell it was another country on the other side of the drainage ditch. km/h!
if you are in the northwest and haven't seen this place before, it's worth a stop on your way to your next - or first - visit to canada. top of the arch
