Ok well this is hard to explain, but I will try my best...
I Have searched the internet for any explanation of this but I can't find anything!

It's hard to describe, but when flaccid to semi-erect, my penis seems to be "pinched" in the middle. It is fine at the base and for about an inch and a half and then it pinches in a bit on either side, and then comes back out and continues normally to the head. Think of it like an hourglass shape.
It is REALLY weird, and as I said my penis will stay and grow like that until it is fully erect in which case it is just normal and straight.
It is very odd, the skin around the place where it pinches seems to be different from the skin around it, like daker and tightly wrinkled.
What alarms me, though, is that it hasn't always been like this. It has only been going on the past year or less.

Is this normal? Does anyone experience this as well?? I feel that sometimes my erections arent as strong as they should be because I have to first get past the hurdle of this strange phenomenon, it's almost like blood doesnt get to the spot as efficiently.

Any ideas!?

Thanks in advance....

If I start out cold and with "shrinkage" LOL and then I start getting hard, it will look like that. It's like the base and the end fill out first and it stays shrunk in the middle with the skin as you describe. Then as things progress it fills out just fine.

I've never asked my doctor about it, but it wouldn't hurt.

If the skin is different and wasn't like this before go a doctor. My first thought would be that maybe there is a problem with spongy bodies in that area, but that probably wouldn't show on the outside. anyway .. better ask a doctor, a potential erectile disfunction is something you want to avoid ..

The problem you are describing may be a connective tissue disorder. Different sites of connective tissue in the body can develop fibrosis.

Among the possible sites for fibrosis is the connective tissue that surrounds the shaft of the penis. The most common manifestation is a tight band of tissue mid-way down the penis that gives the penis an hour-glass shape when erect or in extreme cases, can cause a bend in the direction of the penis.

You should make an appointment with a urologist for an exam.

Thank you so much for all of your suggestions, this is quite embarrassing but you have all been very informative.
Is there any directory of gay doctors that is available to the public? I would rather see a gay doc to talk about this...
:cry::cry: why me?

It would be good to look in any directory of gay service providers that you may pick up in your local gay bars. If one advertises in there he may not necessarily be gay but gay friendly.

You might check to see if there are any gay men's clinics in your area. I know the Whitman-Walker clinic in DC has docs that offer treatment both for those that have insurance as well as for those that do not.

Or check to see if there is a GLBT resource center in your area (many colleges have them). They often have doctors that will see patients....
