Can that be true? what about the people who died on that plane? They cannot make that up!

I've seen this before, but never had the chance to comment on it.

It begs the question, if the the 757 known as Flight 77 isn't what hit the Pentagon (and the evidence clearly illustrates it wasn't a plane) what really did happen to Flight 77, and did it ever actually exist?

If it didn't exist, then what really happened to the 64 passangers that were supposed to have been on that plane, not to mention the 125 who were killed inside the Pentagon?

I'll admit that the evidence is suspect. The world got see on the two planes that hit the Twin Towers, why was the survailance tapes at the Hotel, the Gas Station, and VA DOT confiscated, and then never released?

It's the lack of "open information" which gives rise to conspiracy theories don't you think?

Well, honestly I've deliberately gone out of my way to avoid any conspiracy theories that revolve around 9/11. I grew up in Dallas, Texas for crying outloud. I know that they're out there, and there will always be too many unanswered questions.

I do submit however, that remarks like the one Bush gave to to United Nations General Assembly on November 10, 2001 where he denounced such notions, nearly two months after the attack. His remarks suggests to me that he was already using the event to move an agenda forward before questions were even seriously asked or any credible answers given:

"outrageous conspiracy theories ... that attempt to shift the blame away from the terrorists."

Sure we knew about al-Qaida by this point, but there's was no such thing as a declared "war on terror" yet.

It also didn't help that the Bush Administration was opposed to setting up an 9/11 commission.

Within days of the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 there was an immediate congressional inquiry as to how that could happen.

Not 9/11. Why?

Bush said 'we need to keep the country unified to bring those who did this to justice.'

In hindsight, I think we should have had an official inquiry, while bringing those who took credit for the attacks to justice.

But that's just my opinion.

I understand the issue of Pentagon security, for reason of "taking possession" of local survilance tapes.

But, and correct me if I'm wrong here, wouldn't those tapes just show the outside of the building as well as the grounds?

And aren't those pretty much in plain sight of anywho who walks by the place?

Hardly seems like a security reason....

Now, if they covered the entire building with a tarp....Well, then I'd buy the security issue.

Oh this is just a big heaping crock of shit... a Boeing 757 hit the Pentagon at enormous speed... by virtue of the time lapse security camera you never do see the airplane because the plane hit the building between frames. When an aluminum and composite structure hits concrete and steel at 300+ miles an hour there will be nothing left but scraps... ESPECIALLY since the terrorists DELIBERATELY chose fully-fueled trans-con flights. All remaining scrap wreckage and human remains that were pulverized during the crash wouldn't stand a chance after the conflagration.

I hate these crazy/opportunistic conspiracy theorists. They either want to make tonnes of money for themselves selling madness OR they just want to get their names in the paper by taking advantage of an unpopular president and an unpopular war. I hope this conspiracy shit just fades to oblivion as Americans come to their senses and think for once instead of believing everything on the Internet.
