so, I was helping my brother out with some stuff today and we got talking about family shit and stuff in the car.
somehow we got round the subject of gay people (my mum firmly believe I am a lesbian lol) and I decided to "come out" hehehe and 'fess up about the aspects of my life that no one else in my family knows of.
now, I have 2 brothers but this one is 10 years older than me, our dad left when I was about 7 so he kinda took over as a father figure, his opinion has always meant a lot to me and I was actually worried about telling him (yeah, ok, I know, it not as big as coming out as a gay man or a lesbian but in my family this is huge)
so, I bit the bullet and told him all about JUB, the meet being organised in London at the end of this month, my extreme fondness for gay porn and my bisexual tendancies......
I have never seen him so thrilled! I was amazed!
he was not even slightly judgemental, asked lots of questions about JUB and gay porn and we got talking about gay issues and charities and stuff.
it was just, like, wow!
ok, so I know its not huge news for everyone else here lol but in my family this is....intense, I was expecting to get disowned.
I have a lesbian cousin that my mother wont even aknowledge! as far as she is concerned by cousin doesnt exist, she isnt speaking to my other brother because of his religious choice, she is on shakey ground with the brother I spoke to today because of the way he has chosen to raise his daughter...and its just ARGH! so to find a member of my family I can actually talk to about this was amazing for me.
