Whenever a Spaniard faces a situation in which an object, action, concept is presented as a very downgraded or watered-down, ridiculous version of "the real thing", for example, when Google says that its AI tools are "creative", they would say it is so in a very "Srta. Pepis"-style.

Srta. Pepis were a series of toys, mainly hairdressing and make-up tools for young girls who would appear to be "working" and be "creative" very much like it could be understood that an adult would be doing it as a genuine "job".

I am not asking about a cultural equivalent of that sort of toys, but about a way to express it in a relatively close way... unless culture itself makes it rather impossible, like the expression "firearms carry the devil's load", which would be the literal translation of the mistrust anyone outside the mainstream US mentality would put on any sort of firearm, never knowing for sure whether it was loaded or not.

Made a mistake editing, quoting the post above, so...
