I do not know what is going on around here lately but it is not the same JUB as when I joined. Why can't everybody just answer a thread without stateing how wrong the poster is about his thread or something he did in his thread. It seems to be going on allot lately. If there is one thing that has changed about me since I accepted being gay, it is that I am allot more open to other peoples opinions, I don't always agree but I tend to see where they are coming from.

It is really bugging me lately. If you don't like the topic in the thread move on to the next one. Yes I confess I even got caught up in it in a few threads, but later when I contemplated what I wrote I asked myself why?? Why do people feel that they have to push their opinion down peoples throat.](*,)

Rant #2 Where the hell has the spellcheck gone?

End of personal rant Have a nice day!!!

"A lot" is two words. Always has been and, for me, always will be. Also, it's "sandwich" unless of course you meant some sort of dirt wiccan.

Just trying to help.

It seems the general mood has been a little pissy. Who knows.

But I will say, even though the 'high and mighty' act may bug you (as it does me,) it has a place. And I feel those who take that approach are as welcome to share it here as my 2 bits.

And for spelling, ahh it isn't school. As much as it drives me nuts, it doesn't matter too much.

Oh, and ahotjock, I think tea would be more appropriate at this time of the morning. And maybe a nap in the early afternoon, if that sounds O.K. with ya. ;)

Often times, there are many people who do not like anything that is said. I think that those people take it a bit too far by feeling it is their place to correct the original poster or anyone who follows. I guess that I have chosen to accept it as the JUB way of posting.

I like coming here and I like to respond, but I do understand, Elwood. Most people here are great, but others, I do not even care to respond when they rant, rave, correct, belittle or just exist here. I have disappeared before from this site and when I feel it is too much, I may disappear again.

just as IRL, there are people here who intentionally(?) misinterpret or even twist the logic of one's statements....for their own self-engrandisement.....NOT for the benefit of provoking thought or soliciting opinion....simply disruptive and iconoclastic...

i'm also fed up with the moralilzing in light-hearted, fun threads....the preaching in the hook-up threads.....the sabbotage of thoughtful....serious threads....

although i feel like i do my share as well...but i believe it's more about attitude...

are we being sabbotaged by the homophobic right wing fundamentalists?.....sow the seeds of discontent and self-loathing on the gay boards....and we'll just self destruct?......

or maybe with the number of JUBbers on the boards now, we have become a statistical slice of america-at-large and we have a number of "contrary" folk ..... and we either have to put up with them, outwit them, ignore them or ban them.....or go somewhere else....

i ain't leaving, so i guess i'll voice my opinion......rebut their foolishness....and put them on ignore....

Elwood, you have a mac, just righ click on the word and your spell check comes up.

Tell my why I have not moved to Montreal yet? This country is going to bush hell.

Elwood - I have to agree with you on all issues. Some of the responses have been so toxic or obnoxious that I simply skip over that person's post whenever I see it. It's not worth it to me to get upset about it (well, I did get upset enough to ask to have a thread removed, but that is an exception) because I come here for the community. I come to be uplifted, set straight, and enjoy the company of like-minded individuals.

Can't play nice, then you don't exist for me. Simple as that.

Wow 36 views and not 1 comment?? Interesting?

haha

disagreeing doesnt really mean arguing, but I do know what you mean.

There was a flare upin the middle of the week over something really petty and a few mods were involved. Ever since then there has been a bit of tension, but....

Best to just move on and have fun

whats that saying?

the best revenge is good living?

you seem to be a man who is living well, so dont sweat it!!

I've grown to dislike the "vibe" of many on the site over the past few months. But there is still enough good to outweigh it.

Well I am sort of relieved that I am not the only one who feels that way!

Andreus,
There was a new moon on the 23rd. People always get crazy around the beginning of a new moon, or at the other end, the full moon. So, blame it on the moon.

Spell checker:
A week or so, ago, I tried to download the program for spell checker. It didn't want to load. I have IE, but I will try again. I miss it(spell checker), too. My mind goes faster, than I can type.

Staying on topic:
There are things that we all are passionate. Politics is my downfall. I'm going to try to look at a topic by saying, "Can I add something to that topic?" But sometimes, I think a person means one thing, then after I go back and read it again, I can see where I misread what he meant. I think the nature of a forum is going to be a little crazy. I try not to take it so serious, or to take myself so serious. But it is good to care.

Elwood,
That's how we learn, by being open to each other's opinion and ideas.
