Alot of people were upset with the Movie. A fellow fan and myself started a petition and I've talked to some people at Stephenking.com and they they said the best way to go about this would be to get a petition going. SO lets try and get a thousand signatures and if we can get that we'll try for more!

If you wanna sign the petition go here:

Thanks guys!

Leave a post letting me know if you signed or not so I can keep up! :p

I think theres more chance that they'll balls up a remake than get it right and do a satisfactory job. Personally I enjoyed the movie, I haven't actually read the book but thought the movie was a decent enough horror movie. Possibly helped that I hate clowns.

There's no way they'd be able to fit that whole book into a feature length film. You'd probably still be disappointed.

But yeah, the miniseries had ONE scary scene. The rest was garbage.

I'm not asking that they fit everything in the book into the movie. But my god they took the encounters with pennywise that Ben, Stan, and Eddie had and either switched them around or completely changed them. Mike's encounter wasn't even in it. Then the first fight they have with Pennywise wasn't in the sewers, it was in a condemed house. They could have put THAT into the movie. Hell even remake it into a Miniseries like they did with "The stand" which came out really well. They stuck to the story and only changed a few things. And they were things that could be changed.

What you're really telling the movie studio is "It's OK. I don't hold a grudge. I've got another ten bucks in my hand, and as long as you make the movie again - no matter if it's good or bad - I'll hand you that money on opening day."

I enjoyed It, but they could have done a little better job. But I would hate for them to have a remake and replace John Ritter and Tim Curry.

other than the suck ass ending, the original miniseries was very good. no point in remaking it unless they can top Curry's performance (which seems unlikely) and make a much better ending. I never read the book, but somebody should have realized when making the television ending that it wouldn't do the rest of the story justice.

The ending for the movie and book were pretty much the same. I think that Ritchie died along with eddie though in the book. I could be wrong...

honestly? who can replce time curry as pennywise..? unless Tim would be willing to reprise pennywise in a remake....i wouldnt go watch it.

that fuckin movie scared the shit outta me when i was a kid

the story is a lot more sinister and evil than portrayed in the movie....they would have to give it an R rating to really do justice to the Book

^ Yeah and thats what I want. Evil and sinister goodness that was the book! lol I read something somewhere that they wanted to remake it but make it animated...kill me

when I read the book, long before the movie came out, I had in my minds eye what Pennywise looked like. I watched the movie and ** FUCK ME ** if the Pennywise in the movie was just like the one I imagined when reading the book... gave me a hell of a scare.

nope, no remake

The miniseries was pretty good but nowhere near as good as the book. Tim Curry as Pennywise was great though.
