Philomena

We just seen Philomena yesterday & we loved it !!!!

A few Facebook friends are raving about it! Glad to read the positive comments on JUB as well. Hope to see it this weekend.

"Philomena"

Just saw "Philomena" yesterday. Beautifully made. Touching and powerful. Interesting to see it on World AIDS Day (I can't explain why without giving too much away).

Re: "Philomena"

Remember that this is a commercial 'tear-jerker' movie.

The facts have been distorted and exaggerated to make the events more dramatic than they really were.

Re: "Philomena"

That's absolutely correct Pat. We all know when your newborn child was taken away from you at birth against your will, that you just rocked off down to the Shift and danced the night away and made out with a couple of drag queens in a toilet stall.

From what I've read about the movie Judy Dench is amazing in it. I'm actually looking forward to watching it.

The only people who are saying the story is distorted are the sadistic nuns who continue to abuse children in the name of religion!

I just saw it last night. What a great movie! Judi Dench was wonderful in this movie. The Nuns show once again how hypocritical they are in the name of religion. If you haven't seen this movie yet go see it. It's a tear jerker of a movie!

I saw it a few weeks ago and I absolutely loved it. Judi is amazing and the story is never mauldling, or boring, of drug down with over emoting. It is just a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I recommend it very highly.
