What is this Pikmin? At first I thought there was a typo in the thread title and that there was going to be a new PacMan game.

Pikmin 3 was confirmed by nintendo a while ago, then after that they announced that Pikmin 1 and 2 would be ported to Wii as well as part of the "New Play Control" series which are escencially Gamecube games re-released with Wii controls... the same will happen with Mario Power Tennis, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Metroid Prime 1 and 2 and others.

I played the original a little but never really got into it.
I have mixed feelings about this whole new control play concept that nintendo is doing though. It feels like just a new way to make a buck from old games.
However I think there are some games that would be really fun to play with wii-mote play control.
Maybe I'll rent this though..

Unfortunately I don't think we will see any real new content on these new play control wii games.
I'd like them to do KAR though and make that online. That would be the best.
It would be great if some other third party developers could do it as well. But I really doubt it will happen. I kinda question how the game industry is doing right now. Well not just in sales but in effort.
Who knows what Nintendo will announce at this year's E3 though. I just hope it's alot better then last year. I don't have much faith in nintendo as a company anymore. But they are good at surprising people. I heard a while back though that there was a rumor that there was gonna be a pikmin ds too. I wonder what ever happened to that.
