Everybody please do a search for a topic BEFORE posting a new thread. There are 100's of threads floating around about "The Gayest Song," "Your Favorite Song," Best Dance Song," etc.

Instead of clogging up the board, do a search & contribute to the old thread.

many newbies are unaware of how to do this....

but if it stopped the cut vs uncut and the size threads I would be all for it.
 
Nice request -- won't ever happen, though.

That's like asking those people to stop posting NICK LACHEY NUDE!!! and then you open it up only to see: "Anybody have any fakes?"
 
The most irritating posts are constant posts for free pics from people who just join to beg......I really hate that. :twisted: Their first post is---anyone have any pics of so-and-so? If they want free pics they can do a Google and look like the rest of us. If they really have to have pics of a particular person not found on Google, they should do like everyone else and spend the money for a trial subscription and download what they want. For members who have a history and are willing to share, I don't have an issue.

I posted on this last year but my thread was deleted......this time I was much nicer....I hope.
 
If it bothers you so much then don't read it,I don't think everyone knows about the search thing and this is a free broad,they can post whatever the hell they want as long as it doesn't kill anybody..........but obviously it does kill someone :badgrin:
 
Yes, it's a free board so that means everyone can do whatever the want -- including the right to articulate their displeasure with certain issues such as annoying ass multiple posts. Consideration of others in an common area goes a hell of a long way.

It's hilarious how people equate "free board/free speech" with "NO CRITICISM PLEASE!"

actually that isn't true. it's a "private" board and "they" can and do censor what is said. you can't just say whatever you want. folks have been banned for saying something. "free speech" doesn't apply "on" private property.

having said that i'm not terribly bothered by duplicate posts, however it would help keep things from jumping to the second page if most posts were made in a thread on the same topic rather than starting a new thread.

...i doubt it will happen though. #-o

I agree. You can't just say what you want on a "private" message board. That's why they have moderators.

Yeah, i get tired of the multiple threads on request for pics, "am i bi", "__ is gay", etc. type threads, so when i see the titles i just don't read them. There are so many wonderful threads on JUB, so why waste your time with those yo don't like?

Then again, I was guilty too. Just to let u guys know, I wanted to insert video into my posting, but did not get it right. I did search, but I did not see any past posting. I posted, and within a day, I got the answer, plus reference to a previous posting on the subject.

Really, maybe the search engine is a culprit too?
 
I will admit the search feature isn't all it's cracked up to be. I have done searches for threads I KNOW are here somewhere, and typed in the right title, but nothing came up! What's up with that?

Several months ago I posted a thread in the help forum asking why the search feature was so crappy. I had been searching for a thread in CE&P - even had the correct thread title - but it never came up in search results.

It turns out that some button wasn't clicked in the admin area of the board, and that the search function wasn't actually searching CE&P threads.

I'm not sure if that's what's happening to you, but if there is a particular forum that you're having trouble searching you might want to post a note in the help forum. Perhaps that little button needs to be clicked somewhere else, too.
