The Polestar 3 is a mid-luxury crossover to be built in the United States.

All is not well in electric car land. Customer enthusiasm has cooled due to high sticker prices and supply chain delays, not to mention dealerships playing money games with car.shoppers.

The Polestar 4 is a luxury sedan/sport-ute mashup that has no rear window and will be built in South Korea.

Polestar has come under heavy criticism for taking too long for new model rollouts in a fluctuating car market. The Big Intro happened Thursday, 9 NOV 23 at Polestar Day in Santa Monica, California.

The Polestar 5 is a full luxury sedan that is scheduled to be built in an all new production plant in China. The 5 also has no rear window, only two rear facing cameras.

Polestar introduced the Polestar 3, Polestar 4, Polestar 5 and Polestar 6 - plus concept cars for the year 2025 and beyond.
The cars are good looking but lately the EV market has cooled, and I get the feeling that Polestar is late to the party. The future really belongs to affordable/repairable/insurable automobiles.

I got a bad feeling about this.

Does anyone else see the future of lightweight, affordable vehicles fading away under tons of heavy, expensive ego-mobiles?

I just don't get the "no rear window". . .My 2016 LaCrosse has a back-up camera; but, I still turn around and look over my right shoulder to see out the rear window. That was how I was taught in drivers education classes in high school; and, IMO, one gets a better look than the camera.

The massive success of the VW Beetle was not because it was fast, comfortable or elegant, it was none of the above, but it was cheap to buy and easy to repair. That is all millions of car buyers need but there is little profit in making cheap cars so that need goes unmet.
