^ And now apparently Laura is complaining that Jeffrey cheated--that his sewing couldn't be his own. Tim Gunn says that when he visited Jeffrey while working on his line, "He had a lot of work to do." And then on seeing his collection, Tim says, "I wsan't born yesterday." It's another Kara Saun boot scandal--maybe better. Both the reunion and the finale are going to be awesome.

I love Tim Gunn. I wish we were friends.
 
i actually like jeffery's work. at least he has a unique style. btw, did anyone catch the scene where he talked about his wife and kid? he's straight! i was blown away. what does his neck tatoo say? i think all four finalist deserve to be there. laura's work, while predictable, has impeccable construction. michael is excellent in sportwear. his evening wear has been weak, however. uli is the same thing in a different print/color, but she does good work. i really thought allison was going to be in the finals and possibly win.
 
yeah, i'm pretty happy with a final 4.. but i can't help but feel like they only decided on a final 4 bcuz the judge's favorite 2 ended up in the bottom 2 last week.. i bet they were probably planning to dump either uli or laura depending on how the challenge went, and when they ended up as the clear frontrunners in the final challenge, the judges realized they'd hafta go with 4 since there was nooo waaay they wanted to dump michael or jeffrey...
 
congradulations jeffrey!! i hafta admit i NEVER thought he'd end up winning.. all season i was sure it would be either michael or uli, but all 3 season's winners haven't been my faves.. i personally thought michael kors said it best when he said jeffrey's aesthetic was 'ugly/beautiful', but i'll admit his final runway show wasn't bad..
 
His designs were my least favorite. I am happy that he seems to have turned his life around and hope that he does make it though. I think Uli should have won personally.

One question has been bugging me though regarding the show itself. He didnt do "the dog" challenge and in this one he went over budget, yet still won. Curious how the show is able to justify one week the designer not "completing the challenge" and getting the boot and the next week not completing the challenge and winning?
 
i think you're thinking of keith who didn't want to design any clothing for his 'dog model' but he managed to get his ass thrown off the show weeks ago.. and jeffrey did go over budget by a couple hundred dollars with his final collection, but that $8000 'allowance' includes everything, including shoes, bags, accessories, barrettes, everything, so ditching the shorts and wigs actually put him well under budget.. i actually had a much bigger problem with kara saun's free custom-made shoes in season 1 (which they DID let her use in her final runway show, but advised the judges that the shoes could not be considered when judging her collection...)
