Make a proposition, and give evidence why it should be adopted. Can be social, political, sexual, dietary, moral, etc.

Proposed: Abolish the TSA. Repeated audits prove it doesn't prevent contraband from being carried on a plane.

Evidence: https://reason.com/2021/11/19/after-20-years-of-failure-kill-the-tsa/

We spend gazillions on TSA. Maybe, if passengers know other passengers are armed, the nutcases will stop going high order on flights.

Nah. They're here to stay.

Cracked has a wonderful article about this:

Indeed, in an airport bombing in Belgium they simply let the bomb go off in the line before airport security.

The article was well written, and sadly, in 2013.

We have promulgated this useless bloat just as Eisenhower said we would.

Who was Einsenhower

Who’s Eisenhower?
The president who said we were headed to becoming a nation run by the military industrial complex.

The TSA is a prime example. We've succeeded in militarizing our commercial aviation industry. It's a step closer to a police state.

They managed to get the requirement passed to have such interrogations/inspections. Then private contractors sell the "required" services to the government. Same old shit. Lobbyists write regulations and laws. Bought and paid-for legislators and regulators introduce bills and push them through, and the daisy chain is complete.

It is no different than the excessive use of security clearances for non-classified employees at defense contractors. MANY employees are required to have clearances when they will never see classified materials nor have access to them. People like accountants, facilities workeres, etc., are included, and the cost is $30k per clearance. It's a sweetheart deal, and security clearance companies get business for adding no value.

In Michigan I say to do away with "bike lanes" people who ride bikes still use the side walk. On top of that they cause traffic congestion by narrowing the road and if they were used it would only be for 6 months on sunny days.
