Which system do you currently think is worth it?

I have been thinking about the PS3 but the 360 seems to have the better games. The Wii doesn't look all that bad either. Though I do have to say the new PS3 promo kicks ass.:D

I've played the wii and xbox 360 equally.

I'm just not a fan of any of the xbox games I've played yet. There are lots of shooters, which I'm not into, so I can't comment about those. I'm sure the technology is great, but it's all about the games in the end. One good thing about xbox is you can download playable demos of games so you can try before you buy/rent. it's great.

I would recommend Wii for the different play-style or if you have room and want to get exercise while you're gaming. It's a neat, different experience. The games, like all nintendo systems are a little immature and uh... cutesy.

PS2 had the most games in the last generation, and more of the kind I enjoyed. Not sure about this generation. I'm sure someone else can testify about it. But since they probably have the same game companies working with them, I assume they would have the most again.

I think any one of them is the right choice, depending on how you plan to use it. What kinds of games do you like? What's most important for you?
 
360. I own one and it is fantastic. 360 have better games, but if you like the PS3 it's OK.
 
if you are looking for one particular system to invest in your two best choices right now are either the 360 or the wii. you decision will depend on the sort of games you prefer to play.

personally i would select the 360 if only for the large catalog of games that are available. the price point is pretty good right now and i've heard a rumor (unsubstantiated at this time) that the system will have another price drop in the spring when grand theft auto releases.

the wii is fascinating and the little bit of play time i've had sold me right away. my only concern is the number of games available. however i suspect that that will change in the very near future as it is the "it" platform currently.

I dont really care for shooters though there are a couple that have caught my attention. Most games I do play are fighting, action/adventure, survival horror and racing type games.
 
i think wii is by far the best. i wouldnt play games that much any more if not for Wii. I was going to get a PS3 or 360 but i was very unimpressed when i actually played wiht them, it feels like playing PS2 or PS1 and they are making u pay extra for that, plus i dont have an HD TV
 
Getting a Wii and a 360 is the way to go really, but if I had to pick one I would pick the Wii, but if your into single player or First Person Shooter games the 360 is the probably the way to go. There really is no reason to get a PS3 right now. And don't be tricked into buying the $399 PS3 as it doesn't play PS2 games.

Then I decided to install world of warcraft on my new laptop and it sucked my life away, but hey, it did save me 300-500 dollars ^.~ haha


But I think your best bet is the Xbox360. The PS3 has some amazing equipment, but most of the games out there only utilize about 30% of its capacity I believe the figure was, so over time, it might become the trojan horse no one saw coming, much like the PS2 was, but at this point, with a lack of incredible games for it, alot don't see a few games to justifying spending $400 to $500 on it alone. (Technically thats an X360 with a bunch of games and accessories, lol))

I have them all, the PS3 has the most potential imo. My Wii doesn't get that much playtime yet. 360 I have the most games for since I've had it the longest.
 
i'm pretty much constantly amazed by my Wii's capabilities.
it's worth it for Mario Galaxy alone.
plus, it's only going to get better as a system and as far as it's capabilities are concerned where as those other systems are going to be replaced by newer models.

Cheapest PS3 is 399, the same price the 360 was when it came out and the same price as Halo Edition 360. Plus the PS3 comes with 5 Blu ray movies.
 
Xbox 360 owner here. I love the games that are out for it and playing with friends over xboxlive gives the games a longer life! :)

Best $5.00 I spend a month!!
