Now, call me sad, or whatever. I actually only have two online friends on my Playstation - I haven't gone online much, so that might be a factor, but I probably would if I had people to play with (hee hee, that sounds funny - crap! I'm turning into Jack Macfarland!) Anyway, yeah, so my ID is:

Mr_Valentine90

Wanna add me, add me.

Anyone played Fat Princess? LOL, hilarious!!!

Sorry I'm a 360 guy. I am considering getting a PS3 though. I like the new PS3 slim and I really want Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and Katamari Forever.

Also for some reason PS3 seems to have gotten popular out of nowhere and people seem to be flocking to that. Either that or people who don't have either are choosing PS3. But Blu-ray is another main reason why I am considering it. I have never watched a blu-ray movie before I wonder if it's really that good.

Have you enjoyed the trophies thing. That kinda confused me.

I have 88 trophies at them moment - mostly for Uncharted.

Basically what happens, is you do something in the game and you get a trophy (basically gamerscore) and the trophies add up and your profile gets a level based on how many trophies you have collected.

For instance, I am on Level 4.

I'm not really bothered by it though, I don't like gamerscore, mainly because a lot of the games I have seen are rubbish and if you get all the achievements that's 1000 gamerscore. And also because I don't think a game should need a points system to add replay value - if it's good you're going to keep playing it over and over aren't you? Much like I do with all the Zelda games on Nintendo systems.

Also, with the trophies, you get a bronze, silver, gold or platinum trophy. Depending on how difficult the tasks are. There's only one platinum trophy per game however, and that is for getting all of the other trophies (at least most of the time, I've not properly checked all my games for trophies)

I don't really get to play online with my PS3 cause my connection gets pretty dodgy when I sign on :(

Sometimes it's fine, but when the internet's getting a lot of use (which is basically all the time around here *sigh*) I keep getting kicked off.

I haven't played online for a while, but, because my brother is usually signed into Xbox Live - that eats the internet by the way - I don't always get a good connection. We'll just have to see next time I'm on.

Interesting. Sounds similar to game Achivements on 360. Like if you beat a certain challenge or do something than something pops up that says "something something achievment unlocked"

360 doesn't have "level's" though. But on your gamercard it shows how many points you have. Each achivement gives you a certain amount of points. I can imagine with the PS3 trophy methods and leveling up after getting a certain amount of trophies there are much more reasons to brag and for people to aim higher.

Nah achievments and trophies are good. They do give the game more replay value which is good and give you some challenging things to do. But some people go overboard..

WAY overboard. I don't care about getting every achievment in a game. I just go for the ones that look like fun or are challenging.

I know exactly what you mean.

I like them, it gives me more replayability than if it didn't have them. But Uncharted is such a good game anyway that it isn't exactly neccessary. I'm currently trying to get them all for Uncharted because I can carry on playing that game forever.

But when you say "WAY overboard" I understand where you are coming from - my brother buys crappy games that he knows the achievements will be easy to get. And like to fill his gamercard up that way.
