What I meant was that a Psychiatrist specializes in such treatment. A regular MD doesn't.I'm a psychiatrist. We all have MD's. I'm quite sure that you are not fully versed in the topics on which you are attempting to give advice, and I'm not sure why you are trying. You are the kind of layperson who tells my patients "big pharm is trying to kill you" and "you don't need these meds" out of ignorance and/or some need to feel like you are experienced enough to give advice on these issues, and then does not have to clean up the situation when the person stops meds and ends up in jail because of whatever. Just stop.
You completely underestimate the effects these drugs have on appetite/hunger, basal metabolic rate, and the way your body metabolizes and uses calories. For example, antipsychotics cause insulin resistance, which makes you much more prone to accumulating fat stores. You could stay the same weight and look larger due to redistribution of weight from lean body mass to adiposity.
You're right in that thermodynamics are inviolable, but repetitively shouting "thermodynamics" doesn't help anyone in this thread.
I've had a bad day. Sorry if I'm being short. But really, you need to stop.
If I've upset anyone because of my responses in this thread, I'm sorry. I've have been on one hell of an emotional roller coaster ride over the last 6 months.
