I'm not exactly a big fan of the "ask me anything" threads but I'm bored, so go ahead, ask me anything.

Let me explain my situation:

I had open septorhinoplasty surgery last Wednesday to correct a severely deviated nasal septum. After the 3-hour long medical procedure, I was given 3 weeks of medical leave.

At first I regarded my medical leave as a blessing (I hate my army camp) but the healing process is unbearably slow and agonizing. The medications are not helping: my headaches and face pain appeared to have been exacerbated by my painkillers; the antibiotics gave me a really bad tummy ache and mild diarrhea.

My entire nose is bandaged up at the moment with a splint covering my profile. I did try to leave my house but the stares put me off. Plus, I get real dizzy if I keep moving about.

So I'm stuck, here in my room, with this computer. I re-read the literature I have stored in my cupboard, re-organized my room, ironed whatever that needed ironing, downloaded True Blood (all thanks to Joshua_Me), watched every single Golden Girls episode, looked through most of threads in the forums I lurk in, and now, I'm fucking bored.

I understand your dislike of "ask me" threads here, but come on, help me out here.

There are 3 -- September 11, the Madrid bombings and the Asian Tsunami. Quite easy for me to remember: September 11 after my high school math camp; The Madrid bombings after an adventure camp; Asian Tsunami after camping with a bunch of people I don't like.

Haha. I did something far worse. I told no one about my operation, even my parents . Septorhinoplasty is like plastic surgery for the nose and they think I will be fine without it.

The doctor contacted them after my operation and my parents came down and started quizzing me about the procedure.

My dad asked: "So why did you have this operation?"

I replied: "Mom, Dad, you know how much I like Amy Winehouse, right? And you know I'm going as Amy Winehouse this Halloween, right?"

Mum answered: "Yes..."

I replied: "I wanted her nose."

For one hour straight, my parents were trying come to terms that their son was slowing metamorphosing into Amy Winehouse. I was just about to discuss the joys of sniffing cocaine with my mom when the doctor entered and put a stop to all this nonsense.

I'm evil.
