I'm a fan of the QAF US one. But I haven't seen the UK one probably because I wouldn't be able to listen to British guys talk.
 
i personally prefer the US one overall, i find the brit accent a bit difficult to take (despite the fact i am british lol)

but both are good in their own way.

the UK one came first so needs to be watched really
 
I also like the UK version too. It is way more funny then the US version. The US version uses sex, sex and more sex to grasp it's viewers. Also the US version sometimes takes things to the extreme. Not that there aren't guys like that out there, but the US version always said it's show was typical of the average gay male. Guess I'm not average cause my life so far has been nothing like the US version.

Also the UK version has three main characters to follow. It's storyline doesn't go into a ton of different plot lines to follow like the US version.

But I'm just ranting. I think if you can, give it a try, only you know for sure if you like it or not.
 
They're both good in different ways, if you don't come loaded with preconceptions about what they should be.

Both are much better than average soap operas looking at various gay issues with a fairly narrow focus on urban nightlife partying gay guys.

The British version is edgier and faster paced, but then it only went on for two seasons I think.

The US version covered some of the same plot lines and more because it went on for longer and some of the additional stuff worked and some didn't.
 
I don’t think either managed to substance quality. I do prefer US but just because I think Gale Harold is one of the best looking men ever. To see five years of him in softcore gay pron was well worth some of the duller moments in the shows run. The Uk one is probally better though.
 
I saw the UK one first. It was mind blowing. At the time. Then I saw the US version and I have to say that the American version is infinitely superior. Yes it may have hundreds of sex scenes but the acting is out of this world and certain stotylines made me roar like a baby.
 
I love the UK one.

I watched the first season and a half of the US version, but lost interest, so I don't know whether it got any better or not in subsequent years.

I think the UK version trusted its audience more.
 
Ohh I loved the US version. It just had this amazing chemistry and prescence the longer it went on. For each successive season there was a new character played by an amazing actor.
