I want to try something new. An experiment, if you will.

How marketable can I become ?

When guys are just starting college they are the hottest thing ! After college you look at them and they are more mature and sometimes grow out of that super-hotness innocent streak. Being a 27yo and having a geek gene, I wonder how marketable I'm still in the gay population.

chrisdobro,

Being 27 yo or having a "geek" gene certainly does not make you unmarketable... You are a very handsome guy. That's the physical aspect. Now, think in terms of your inner being. That is more important than the physical. I am sure you excel in that category as well. Just be yourself.

Welcome!

Craiger

Personally, I think you look great already. No need to succumb to the whole gay "you must be a certain height/weight/build/facial look".

Cheers!

(And welcome)

Hi Chisdobro,

I don't know who you are and you didn't tell us so much.
And don't need a "Queer eye" as well.

Your face, your body? Well, they look fine. I think you have nothing wrong with you.

Try to be happy and comfortable with yourself.

Remember, it is better to be gay or bi and be happy than be straight (or think to be straight) and be frustrated.

We have one life to live and we have the duty, towards ourself in primis to reach the happiness.
Life is too precious to be wasted trying to convince ourself we're not as we are.
Socrates said: Know yourself. It is the core of his precepts.
Then could be too late. And the time and youthfulness doesn't come back again.
He died to demonstrate us it.

It doesn't matter your appereance.

Be happy and live in peace, with youself and the people close to you.

To make your self "more marketable" I'd recomend um only 2 areas that you coudl address and they're both pretty easy.

1. Do someting with your hair. You dont have to cut it but at least brush it, the pics you have, show your hair all over the place. You can brush, style, or cut it it dosen't matter, just make it look clean.

2. Your clothes look dumpy. Not in a bad way, I just mean they (both your shirt and shorts) seem like they're hanging off of you. Go to a good mens store and just let them fit you into some dress clothes properly. Let them break out the mesuring tape, pins, and chalk and go to work on you. You'd be amazed how much cleaner and sleeker you look when you wear clothes that fit you properly.

Thats just replying for what you asked for, in making yourself more marketable. However with looks there's nothing much that you should or have to do. If you want to attract a few more eyes, I think the advice above should get you noticed in a positive way.

Well, in my humble opinion, you're already quite "marketable" as you've put it.

How much to buy one of you?

OH Wow ! Thank you !
This is definitely encouraging !!

WOO, Thanks !!

I suppose I've been succumbing to certain ideals in my head, trying to uphold myself to them, pushing my real self aside. I still do that. Less than before, but it's hard to overcome at times.

Pier, I can see the need to accept ourselves as we are, but why youthfulness ? Does it just simply mean that it is better to accept ourselves while we are young, or is there more to it ? Thanks for welcoming me to the forum.

Ya hair has been an unwieldy Einstein's issue. I'll probably be getting a haircut+highlights done. Clothes is harder for me to select. I actually don't pay as much attention to them and never really evaluated any deeper as to how I look in them. Thank you for the store suggestion. Sometimes I see guys who dress awesome and look great all the time. That is amazing. They must be putting more attention on that then I tend to do.

Haha, my price ? It's not negotiable ! but hey, that'd be nice to have a couple of me to share.

Thank you guys !

The only thing I can say was already said, get a haircut and wear more flattering clothes. I really like the pics where you are shaved better.
I bet if you went to a club you would get hit on just as you are.

You look great the way you are ..|

Although I do prefer beard ... I find it very sexy on you. ;)

Welcome to JUB! I'd agree with the hair thing, other than that, you look great!

you're already marketable chris. ascend to a higher level about yourself. 'geek' to me is not a negative thing at all. lotsa times it makes one a computer wiz. whaddya think about yourself? you seem to me like a hot number in more ways than one
ding

Thank you.

Well, what I think of myself.. well I used to like my body, then I had a surgery and the scar from it made a blow to my self-image. People said that scars give you character, but ultimately I saw it as a way to console someone. I'm not proud I have a scar I was trying to conseal it and still try to.

Aside from the scar, I was always trying to hide my geek side, and in some ways trying to be like one of the guys on magazine covers. Unconsciously. But at the same time I realized I can't be someone I'm not, so I wasn't trying really hard. Then I thought that maybe it's time and that's why I've decided to try the make-over thing. Now though I see it's just best to be me, though some makeover won't hurt. In fact as long as it brings me out and doesn't make me somebody else, I think it's fine.

I am looking at my body and liking what I'm seeing again and it's awesome ! Sometimes I need a boost and thank you guys for being here for me.

Don't be overly concerned about the scar, many of us have things about our bodies that are out of our control and would like to change. I can assure you that you are a good looking man that is going to make someone very happy.(*8*)
