How is sex for you? How was the operation? Is the lack of sensitivity enough to not enjoy it? I'm 18 and was recommended a circumcision for phimosis...
 
Your enjoyment of sex will not be diminished and may be improved. You will love it after its done.

I had the same situation when I was your age! Although the operation was painful and the recovery seem to take forever, it was well worth it considering the problems that would have cause if I did not have it done. "Phimosis" could be really dangerous because if you penetrate someone your foreskin can tear causing severe bleeding, infection, deformity and in the end you can end up in the hospital having the operation anyway. To me it was something that had to be done and nowadays I'm very proud of my penis and never get any complaints. Best of luck to you. :D
 
Mine was done years ago at my request, personal preference...I never regretted it. I don't remember much discomfort afterward. I have always had a great sex drive and sensitivity. I was around 24 when I had it done.

Done it 6 months ago. I never had sex before circumcision so I can't tell but it is so much better without your foreskin tighten around.
 
I got circumcised when i was 17 due to phimosis and am now 25. Before the circ all i remember is it just being really painful as my foreskin would sometimes tear at the top a little before the surgery. it only came on when i was a teen too. after the circ i have never had any problems or pain due to phimosis or any tender or tight skin. so it was defiantly a relief. :)
 
all your replies seem to suggest that it should be done... I've been tossing up if I should get it done or not (I have severe phimosis) - did the operation hurt? Was it done under full or local anaesthetic? I'm a little embarrassed to be honest.., thoughts? Opinions?
