“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

-Steve Jobs, 2005 commencement at Stanford University

Man, was he ever right. I loved this quote from a guy on CNN tonight:

"Steve Jobs was a beautiful combination of Walt Disney and Thomas Edison."

Mayor Bloomberg just compared his genius to Edison and Einstein---so true---a great progressive thinker mover and shaker---

He really helped change the way we look at technology and his influence will continue to be proved throughout time.

RIP Steve Jobs. I love my Apple products. =D

What great irony.

Personally, I'm surprised at how saddened I am by the news. Apple hardware and software are the tools of my profession, and the gadgets with which I play, am entertained, and communicate with friends and family. I don't think I'd thought about the magnitude of that influence until today.

I, like many, have lost friends and loved ones to cancer. My thoughts are with his wife and children, above all. He was far too young to leave us.

Very sad.

I guess we all feel we know him a little bit. the devices we use each day are such a mirror of his tastes and his overall personality. he is the ghost in the machine.
