Now that I've had the chance to read all of your comments, let me throw in a thought that has occurred to me often as I thank the fates that I have my "unmutilated member" still intact.
Let's face it: circumcision is a good deal for the doctors and commands a nice fee; it is, in my thinking, a form of child mutilation which goes largely unchallenged in our society. To me, this routine offence against the innocent boy-child ought to called what it is, a gross violation of the rights of the newborn.
As one who escaped this form of cruelty, I am not afraid to politely extol the
great pleasure that the foreskin provides. And, as it has become a topic of serious conversation in the community at large, more and more parents are choosing to leave the choice to the boy when he is an adult. I don't know many intact men who would choose to be less whole.
