So about two weeks ago I noticed a very intense itching sensation on my upper/inner thighs that I couldnt keep from scratching. After a couple days, I noticed the rash extended to my penis and balls, lower abdominal, and on my upper arms. I have red blotches on my penis that are really itchy, they don't have any pus or anything like that in them, they are just red blotches that itch alot. The blotches are also on my hands but not very much - they don't itch. I also have like a lump beneath the tip of the head of my penis that doesn't itch. What could it be? Also, earlier this year, before any of this happened, I notice a single, painless, raised bump on my balls that didn't itch or anything and cleared up within a couple weeks. I think it may be syphilis from reading the symptoms online, but not for sure. Any ideas?

I have never been tested before so where do I go from here? Do I go to a dermatologist or just my regular doctor. I am a recent graduate at a university that has a health service, should I just go there and make an appointment?

Thanks

Please see your GP as soon as you can. He can then refer you to a specialist if need-be. As for university health care, if you're still eligible, go for it. But do it now!

But as for ideas of what it could be, it'd be silly for me to speculate.

Syphilis causes a very distinct rash. If you have reason to believe that you might have syphilis, then that's a pretty good reason to have an STD check.

But your rash is probably not secondary syphilis. It's more likely to be something more conventional- like bedbugs, eczema, scabies or an atopic dermatitis. Which gives you two things to see your doctor about. :)

psoriasis maybe? google it & look at the pics. cream can help it if you see a doctor. sounds like that to me. good luck, man.

I also have what looks like a "fungal" infection on my feet as well. It looks as if my feet are "decaying" on and in between the toes, and a little bit in the middle of my feet. I have had problems curing athletes foot in the past and noticed this "decay' a little bit ago but never thought anything of it because it didn't itch or anything - no pain. Could this be another leading sign of a yeast infection??
