Why in the bloody hell do we have to rate every damn little thing?

People, videos, movies, TV shows, TV show episodes and the list goes on...

I don't understand the need to plaster a number, a bunch of stars or a percentage on anything that comes our way. It's like we lost our ability to appreciate things.

I am trying to ignore ratings of any kind but it seems that our society through the line is obsessed with that crap. Individuals almost have no chance in showing what they have or what they're about because a bunch of people decided they weren't worth their time and justify their distaste with numbers on end.

I wish we would just stop with that idiocracy and just look at things without judging them, appreciating for what it is.

Gah, I'm angry now!

I know what you mean, everyones different and although someone might rate a DVD/video game/mobile phone/car/T.V washing machine... someone else is gonna rate it differently.

I find them somewhat usefull though as a very rough guide, and enjoy reading reviews.

Because parents are irresponsible brats. It's just like we shouldn't have to label coffee from mcDonalds hot. People are idiots.

Oh my god that reminded me, my new oven came with a sticker that said "warning, this product will become very hot when in use" or something like that and I had to laugh.

Wow, this is very very true.

When people focus too much on the numbers, I think they subconsciously begin to look for the doubts in things. "Why is this rated low- where's the problem?" Instead of taking in and collecting everything from a fresh perspective, come to their own conclusions on things.

I guess it's a way for people to try and measure about how much they feel about this thing or something- but why? Why create a scale? Why not have limitless possibilities to greatness?

Ratings change during a season.

Just ask the N.E. Patriots.

Ratings go up and down, and sometimes sideways.

I think ratings are overrated.
