Real Caesar Salad

I remember a time when I had lunch with my father, and he insisted on Applebees, because his wife refused to ever go there. What wasn't good enough for his wife was apparently good enough for his one and only son...
Give yourself more credit. It sounds like he really liked Applebee's and didn't ever get to go except when she was out of the mix. You were his dinner date to go where he wanted. That's often true about a cuisine like Mexican or Thai or Indian when one half of a couple hates it. Can be for a brand, too, obviously.

Well, unfortunately my feeling is--and was at the time--that I was not terribly important. Long running history, but it quite noticeable during his last marriage.

It almost seems to beg for a few flourishes and add-ons. Strips of grilled chicken on top sounds good to me. It's pretty with the whole romaine lettuce but I prefer my lettuce shredded.

The chicken ALSO makes a good contribution to our daily protein requirement, which in our 'golden years' should be no les than 100 grams per day
One small chicken breast (as shown above) gives about 25% of daily needs.

Yes Indeed, wish I had known what a toll my tendons and ligaments would pay after age 60. Gotta keep moving all the time now!
