Really bad movies you love to watch

"Perfect" is not to be missed. Especially for those who've ever worked out at the 24 Hour Fitness in Weho. This was filmed there back when it was the Sports Connection (aka The Sports Erection)

Just been looking through the list at badmovies.org, and I've seen and enjoyed:

- The Abominable Dr Phibes
- Cane Toads: an Unnatural History
- Dark Star
- El Topo
- Lake Placid
- Orgazmo
- Zardoz

There are of course others I've seen which aren't at that site.

-T.

Neither The Abominable Dr Phibes, Dark Star or El Topo are bad movies by any means.

The Abominable Dr Phibes intentionally abuses the genre conventions.
Dark Star succeeds admirably in it's aim of being a sci fi comedy.
Calling El Topo bad is tantamount to blasphemy (except for the introduction with the disinformation about the mole).

"Bad movies you love to watch" are movies that are unintentionally bad, made by overambitious people who completely misunderstood the point and had the whole thing turn into a trainwreck.

Zardoz is an example and so are Mommy Dearest, and Troll 2.

Something else happens when a B-movie becomes popular for the "wrong" reasons, such as Sleepaway Camp.

We call those "Cult-movies".

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xobQgpgBTcM[/ame] one of my favorite guilty pleasures. this should have been a HUGE red flag that i was GAY!!!

John Waters and Andy Warhol don't really count so I would have to go with Knightriders. It was my favorite for so many years and I think I've seen it at least 20-30 times. It's pretty bad and it's fucking long. Like two and a half hours...
Anyone else seen it?

I might have seen it on Super Channel in the early nineties.

The trailer actually doesn't look all that bad.

!oops! #-o !oops!

So bad, but I love it!

40ties, 50ties and 60ties movies (though they are not all bad) where the guys have huge trousers flies and where you see more trousers flies than ever.

Grease 2

Mommie Dearest

Also 'Slumber Party Massacre' is another great one lol!

Showgirls.

I thought it was incredibly bad when I saw it for the first time and then I thought that Elizabeth ??... wasn't all that bad. Way too long and not well produced at all. It could've been "decent" but bad directing and did not flow well.

I love a lot of bad movies. Horror mostly. David Decoteau's stuff is really bad but I can't stop watching it. The Leprechaun series also had me hooked. The horror Jack Frost, not the family film with Michael Keaton... there was even a crappier sequel. Horrible stuff. Really film making at it's worst but I love it.

I *love* bad movies! My favorites are "Showgirls" and "Basic Instinct 2". We were laughing so hard the first time we watched BI2 that we had to pause the dvd a few times! Awesome! :)

I'm guessing you mean the 1986 Cronenberg/Goldblum version and not the 1958 original starring Vincent Price. Either way you're wrong.

Troll 2 is my favorite bad movie. It's loads of laughs and fun as hell to watch.
