OK - so heres my problem....for the past couple of weeks i've been getting some pains in my balls. The pain altinates from one to the other. It's not a ridiculously bad pain, but as if someone has slightly kicked them or something. (I'm 18 by the way).
Anyway, last monday I plucked up the courage to go to the Doctors and get checked out. I explained my symptoms and he had a quick feel down there (BUT NOT FOR VERY LONG). He then told me that he thought I "had an infection in the tubes of the testicles" and prescribed me with antibiotics. However, he sent me for a blood test and a urine test to see what it was, with results due back today. Now, for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, I had no more pains, so I figured whatever it was was being cleared up by the antibiotics. But now, today, Thursday, the pain has returned slightly! Nowhere near as bad as it was but it's still there, and I got my results from the tests and everything came back clear - i.e. no infection! So what the hell is this?? Why would by balls be aching if they arent infected??
Please help! I'm worried sick now!!

Relax. You need to take the antibiotics until they are all gone.

If there was another problem, STD or cancerous lump your Doctor would have spotted symptoms right away.

Other than those reasons, the next reason balls ache are impact or classic blue balls. Chances are you haven't cranked one off in a while, so I'd guess blue balls.

The most common cause is prostatitis or epididymitis. Both will take a longer course of antibiotics to clear up- often 10-14 days or longer.

If you're still having the pains next week, you can give him a call and report that the pain is still there. More than likely, he will tell you to complete the antibiotics but he may also order more tests.

Sounds a lot like epididymitis, which I just got over having recently. It causes intense, awful pain in the testes sometimes a dull ache, sometimes an awful, throbbing, stabbing pain. Need to wear tight underwear or preferably jock/cup to hoist the boys up close. Sometimes it can be caused by to much or not enough sex/masturbating. Other times some bacteria can burrow down in there thus the antibiotics. I will tell you I had to go thru two rounds of antibiotics and some pain meds before mine cleared up. I know wear much tighter underwear and alternate them with a jock/cup every other day and that has helped a lot. Plus the jock/cup really enhance a dudes package too.

me and a close friend had the same problem.... and what the doctors found was not an infection... they were cysts... i had one and then like a year later my friend had the pains and he got checked and had two...

OMG I have the same problem, too...pain in a testicle and back and side...all tests are negative...the pain is just starting to subside...I'm jerking off (it's been a week...about right before the pain) to relieve stress. hope you feel better!

Don't wear tight underwear... Try boxers and keep baggy pants on.

Same here guys!...I had a cyst two years ago...scaryest feeling ever! i had blood test done and an ultrasound (which felt amazing!) but was taken care of with antibiotics.

The most common cause is prostatitis

I've had prostatitis twice but never had any pain either time. The only symptom was a little oozing like precum when I wasn't aroused. One time I got it from a guy with an infected tooth was giving me blowjobs. I got it the other time from fucking a girl unprotected in the ass.

I would suggest you revisit your doctor/or another doctor.

Testicular pain should always be treated seriously and investigated for testicular torsion (when the blood supply to the testicles is compromised by a twist in the vasculature).

Usually this is /sudden onset/ though and you probably wouldn't be able to go a week with this pain and not have any problems. So it is /very/ unlikely but always worth considering.

If they suggest a CT/x-ray you should question their decision as there is a marked increase in the risk of x-ray induced cancer for the testicles.
