After reading some of these posts, makes me think of straight guys (& how they view gays) in a totally different way. What are your guys' opinions?

Sounds to me like a bunch of pretty fucking tolerant people, considering. I'm bi and love me some dick but if someone did that in the stall next to me I'd flip.

It's thanks to guys like that (the jacker) that guys don't feel comfortable walking nekkid around the lockerroom anymore. There's a place to do shit like that, I mean for real.

Right? And most of the posters to that board were like, "Just laugh it off", or "complain to the manager". Like 2 guys said something like "beat his ass", and to be honest if someone did that to me in the gym I'd prolly be tempted. And I looooove public sex. Consenting public sex, that is.

I don't know how I'd react to something like that. I would be probably speechless just like the guy who made that thread.

I had a similar experience like that on a subway in NYC where a creeper tried to initiate sex with his facial expressions or something.

People are disgusting. I would have probably reported him to the gym staff and tried to get his membership revoked.

I think you did the right thing. I probably would have reacted the same way you did up until he moved closer to the glass. Then I know I would have smacked the glass and let my anger get the best of me because a similar thing happened to me when I was about 14. I was in the bathroom at a mall, in one of the stalls doing my business. There was a 'Glory Hole' drilled in the stall. This guy comes in the stall next to me and starts staring at me just as I finish taking a shit so I stabbed him in the eye with my thumb and stormed out of there.

Well I have to say that is weird but at this point I would not care and maybe like it a bit if someone is jerking off while watching me shower so long as he kept his hands to himself. Beats getting no attention paid to me at all like everday

I think some may have taken my main point out of context. What I mainly meant was how surprising it was for me to see that such hypermasculine hetero guys (that could possibly be homo bashers) are actually freaked out by gays. It makes sense hearing the guy explain his reaction to the situation, but this is the first time I actually saw their point of view like that. We, or at least I, usually think of it the other way around, tough hypermasculine straight guy bashing homos.

I feel like there is still so much ignorance out there, it is easy to see in some of those posts that they think that all gays are pervs. It bothers me whenever gays say "another homo making us look bad", when they should rather be criticizing the straight guy for being ignorant! A few weeks ago I read another post by a guy claiming that black guys are primitive because of some guy that was released from prison was saying that prison sex doesn't make him gay because he wasn't the bottom and it's just a hole. It's impossible to control people's actions, but we can make an impact on people's reactions by informing the ignorant.

A lot of the guys on that forum did seem open-minded although there were just as many ignorant ones too.

Most of the guys on that forum really didn't seem homophobic to me. They don't seem to have a problem with gay people. Just gay perverts.

I totally agree if they want to kick someone's ass who is violating their personal boundaries and there were a lot of tolerant guys on there, but there were several saying things like "typical gay" or just generalizing to all gay guys doing that sort of thing.

It was entertaining to read though, I think I'm gonna check out that UFC fan thread that someone recommended lol

I agree, most of them actually seemed really tolerant to me. I like dick just fine and I woulda been freaked out and maybe even hit the guy. I mean seriously.

If they think that's 'typical gay' maybe it's because that's the only gay guys they see...maybe fucking each other in the gym showers is not the way to be spreading gay tolerance.
