Prayer's for Bobby made me cry twice! Which is pretty huge because that almost never happens.( The last time was the end of Titanic)

If you don't mind seeing a movie with gals instead of guys,"Lost and Delirious" is one of the best you can watch. It was the movie that helped me accept myself for being attracted to the same sex instead of trying to deny it.

It's a movie about true fiery love where one person knows what love is and one hides it to suppress their homosexuality both out of fear and to keep their reputation. It's such a sad movie and is my #1 gay themed movie of all time.

Right after that is prayers for bobby. Sigourney did such an amazing performance in it.

I usually avoid dramatic movies. Why sit there and be sad/depressed when you could watch something comedic...?? Anyway, one of the saddest movies I've seen is one of my mom's favorite movies, "The Champ", from 1979. It stars Jon Voight and Faye Dunaway. Ya gotta watch it through the end. I guess it's not really "gay" (unless you count the fact that Faye Dunaway is in it!), but it is about the relationship between a little boy and his father.

Is there a gay movie that isn't sad/depressing? Like 99% of gay movies end with someone dying from AIDS, overdose, violence, or suicide.

This is the first movie that ever made me cry. I was so embarrassed, lol. If you've seen the movie you know the scene I'm talking about.

Yossi & Jagger was released oddly in the North America.

You can now buy the film on it's own.

But if you can't find it, it's also included in collection of short films called: Boys Life 5.

A Love to Hide... very sad and depressing, right up your alley. Its french with subtitles.

Patrik 1.5 is a pretty solid feature, it has some sad parts. Very uplifting and bubbly though, I'd watch it after A Love to Hide though... palate cleanser if you will. :D
Since I am on here, why are there so few romantic British gay films ala Maurice... I would love to see more of those. Or even sci-fi gay love pics... that would be so right up my alley. :P I'd love to see Ben Browder in a gay sci-fi love flick or series...
