OK . . . I know, I know!

But give me a chance here.
It may be my first post but as time passes some of you JUBers may find what I have to say, interesting.

FYI,
I still remember The Mattachine Society. As a matter of fact, I contacted them as a high school freshmen in 1972. And they sent me a membership form with a pamphlet full of b/w photos of men sitting in a lounge, every one of them in full collared shirts with ties and dinner jackets.

Looked like a photo album from the California State Senate chamber, lol.

Great to be here, or anywhere actually!

Edd

Great to have you here.

I once watched a documentary about those guys, can't remember a spit of it, you'll have to fill me in.

Wow!

Great to meet you.
Hang on cuz here's the freaky part, I found out about the organization from an ad in the back pages of a comic book.

Now Cormac, that's what I call marketing!

Nah, I think it was the old DC Comics, I was into Green Lantern.
This was back when comic book "classifieds" were open to anything that paid the bills.

No, as a matter of fact I never heard of Harry until I saw an old documentary when I was in college. That's when I tried to find that old mailing, then realized that I must have trown it all away when I made the big move to campus.

I guess no one keeps everything as the years go by. Where would you keep it all?;)

High school freshman in 1972?

I've got a few years on you, as do quite a few JUBbers! #-o

Welcome aboard! (*W*) \:/

Now that's what I want know!
Now I feel like I belong around here, Thank you Kyanimal.
I'll have to try for a better photo, my avatar is from 2014 and it's waay low res, lol.

Welcome to JUB, like anywhere there is both the good and bad. Am sure you will work out which is which fairly quickly.

Nice to see another "old guy" here - I'm soon to be 74.

WOW!
Let me shout back to all you guys - Thank you all for such a cool welcome.:-)

My thanks to all of you guys for such a warm welcome to JUB.

I'm spending a lot of time reading through the threads to get a better handle on the membership.
There's a special message I want to share with all of you . . . soon.
