I suppose you could go with, "Do you want to come over for thanksgiving so we can share a room together and i can figure out if you are gay and we can have homosexual experiences together?". However, that might tip him off to the fact that you have an ulterior motive. So you might just go with, "Do you want to come over for thanksgiving dinner?".

I see this as 'different strokes for different folks', but for the sake is symmetrical morality, how would you call his friend's move, if not 'taking the advantage' of the original poster?

I'd say, if it is OK, for you to try and make a move on this other dude, it is equally fine for the other dude to do the same to you. Rite?
