HI GUYS!
So some of you may remember my post from a month ago asking for advice on toning and shaping my body, which has always been alright, but not great.
I got a lot of great advice and went on to research dietary things as well as types of work outs to do. The piece of advice that stuck with me the most was my need to bulk up my upper body to offset my wider hips, which are built in proportion with my shoulders.
I am still just beginning as it has only been 2 weeks since I have started hitting the gym 5x a week and eating better. That being said, I would LOVE any more advice that anyone has!
Here is my beginning routine so far (it may be completely wrong so I am open to any advice):
Monday, Wed, and Fri I lift weights. 3 sets of as many as I can do with a minute rest in between each set. I start every lifting day with 20 minutes of cardio on the elliptical. I have been doing full body workouts with only 1 or 2 exercises per muscle region to try to accustom myself to this kind of activity. In about another 2-3 weeks I intend to move onto region-specific workouts, doing a different area each day I lift.
On tues/thurs I run for 30 minutes just to keep myself moving and then on weekends I rest.
I am extremely motivated to continue and build a body I can be proud of.
PROGRESS PHOTOS: It has been 2 weeks since I started but I definitely notice some progress already. It is more apparent in life than in photos but here you go!

TODAY 7/11/2010 (2 weeks after beginning. today is sunday and my last workout was friday)
