Sex

I see some pretty interesting opinions here that vary quite immensely. I will say that yes, I did fing this site by accident looking for porn and I don't think I'm the only one. I like to read the gay stories and of course look at the amateur pics section, but what keeps me coming back are the forums and discussions.

As for friendships, I think there are some valid points on both sides. As has already been mentioned, I met Elvin here on this site and that developed into a realife (pardon the term) friendship most likely because we live in the same city. I doubt I would have met him in any other situation, and I wouldn't trade his friendship for anything.

There are others I have gotten to know beyond just the boards who I also consider real friends. They know who they are and I feel certain the friendship is mutual.

I will say that being online does give one a sense of security than can bring out parts of a personality that would never be present in the real world. There are many people (myself at times) that are so shy, they have a difficult time in social situations when in public or face to face that can only be overcome in a place like we have here.

All in all, I see this site as a positive outlet for everyone, especially for those who, for whatever reason, have only this place to interact and yes, make friends that otherwise would never happen.

OMG, my skin isn't too thick either. I'm too open and vulnerable and I do let people get the best of me....As soon as I decide not to talk to someone...trust me....I stop....I learn and move on pretty quickly...
And yeah, the internet is one scary place sometimes....;)

Well, yes, but I've learned that it's only scary if you let it be. We all have the option of simply getting up and walking away. Turn it off for a while if it gets to be too much. But yes, I sometimes let people get the best of me as well.

Words can hurt. No matter who says them or where they come from. But I suppose, again, that's only if you let them hurt. Some people can let another person's words roll off their back. Some can't. Everyone is different.

I didn't come to this website for sex, I came here as an outlet to make friends, read advice, give advice, give my contributions.

I completely agree.

Speaking for myself only, I'm here for friends, to help out, give advice if I can, etc - I don't care about anything else, not even the amateur porn, which is nice to look at but it can't take the place of a friend or an actual person beside me.

JUB is about more than just sex (not that sex is bad or anything!).

I've met several really wonderful guys here. Some I've e-mailed; some I've chatted on the phone with. They are very real to me.

I like them because of what's inside, not because of their looks. There are definitely people here who care more about the human than the physical body.

Yeah, I agree. It may take some looking, but you'll find people who are interested in people just for who they are.

Actually, the more JUB becomes more porn oriented, the less enthusiastic I am. I joined JUB when it was still just mainly a picture sharing site. I'm drawn to the community. Sure the pictures first got me here, but what got me to join in on everything was the forum community. I really enjoy the people here and I have learned so much from everybody.

But now that the site is becoming so commercialized  with the forced viewing of big ads, etc. its losing some of its "home grown" feel of being a community.
