Jordan was contacted by sextortion scammers on Instagram.
They pretended to be a pretty girl his age and flirted with him, sending sexual pictures to coax him into sharing explicit photos of himself.
They then blackmailed him for hundreds of pounds to stop them sharing the pictures online to his friends.

This is so very sad. Why are kids at school not taught how to avoid this sort of stuff.
I know it is far easier for those of us who grew up without internet, social media and everything it entails.
But one of the first things I realised was the danger (from all sorts of sources) of giving too much away online.
For instance I never give out my phone number to casual acquaintances; I never reveal my face in dick pics; I never give out any details of where I work.

In this particular case if the lad had not shown his face and his dick then the scammers would not have had anything to blackmail him with. A dick pic can belong to anyone.

It depends on how robust their sex education programs are at school.

And whether their parents have a responsible attitude toward giving their kids the tools and education to help prevent them from being exploited this way.

And to reassure them that in case they are exposed, so to speak, to not be afraid of the consequences and that they can be assured of their family's support.

But it happens to adults all the time too, so there's that.

As horniness rises, common sense plummets.

I guess this sort of thing is so relatively new we haven't got the proper education in place

It will never be in place to the degree that there will not be some who are foolish anyway.

A few years back, someone catfished my brother-in-law and he took out credit cards for cash advances and sent thousands. Catfishing was widely known more than a decade before that.

My sister stayed with him anyway, and never publicly admitted that he must have been planning on leaving her for the imagined mistress.

There is always a ready set of victims, young or old.

At least they are extraditing the scammers. It would possibly have been a war crime to carpet bomb Lagos to ensurethey were stopped. Possibly.

What is so sad to me is that the young man didn't feel that he could approach his parents. We live in a society where people of all sexual persuasions feel free to let others know what they like and how they do it. But an adolescent that sends a nude pic to what he thinks is a girl feels ashamed?
Everyone of us is the result of an orgasm. We all masturbate and have weird fantasies.
This boy must have been under tremendous pressure to be "perfect". I told my son when he was about 11 that he could come to me and talk about anything at any time.

Anyone here browse "Recon" fetish site? There is a hugely suspicious number of profiles based in Ghana.
