I recently noticed the top of my shaft just before the head has started to change colour and go lighter than it used to be. The only thing I can think of is sometimes when I masturbate for a good length of time, that area might get a little sensitive /sore. I recall a couple times recently where the area in question was a little red after the j/o session. But does it make sense that area is now lighter than it used to be?

🤷🏻

What age range are you?

I'm reading an audiobook that is all about the penis. One of the sections mention color changes, curves and bends, and bumps and lumps can occur as you get older. I though bent dicks were born that way! It's like your face and arms. The older you get you get more moles, freckles, bumps, and other imperfections. The things i am learning!

Most guys notice that their penis gets darker (or more accurately, gets more pigmented) as they get older. This is a normal condition that can occur with aging but can also be a temporary side effect of sun exposure, certain medications or thickening of the skin.

There are conditions that can cause spots of lighter skin- particularly vitiligo and fungal infections- but these changes are not in large areas- it's more of a dappling or patchy pattern of light spots on dark skin.
