Minibone was a feral kitten when I brought him in from the cold. Literally -- he was stumbling around in the snow with pneumonia and would have died pretty soon if I hadn't trapped him and brought him inside.
Anyway. Fast forward a few years. He's now indistinguishable from any other well-behaved house kitty except for a few quirks. One is that he doesn't enjoy cuddling that much. He'll put up with it for a few minutes, but then he jumps off my lap and goes chasing a dust ball or whatever.
So recently a friend gave me this funky massage chair. It doesn't really massage, but it does vibrate, kind of like when a train goes by the house only more localized. Well Minibone was intrigued and started coming up into my lap to share in the good vibrations.
This morning he was rolling around in my lap for a good ten minutes, then he closed his eyes and stretched out. Next thing I know, he goes limp. I mean, like he didn't have a bone (no pun intended) in his body. I couldn't even detect any breathing.
For some reason I almost went into a panic. I literally thought he'd died. But no -- after a bit he jolted awake, meowed and jumped off.
So now he's a cuddle addict, thanks to this peculiar chair.
Anybody else have a nice cat story?
