Any Shirley Bassey fans around? She has such a powerful and commanding voice in my opinion. I think she demonstrates excellent stage presence. Any fans?

Yes, Yes, Yes. As a matter of fact, my husband and I just watched Goldfinger tonight. The best of the James Bond movies.
Saw Ms. Bassey's tribute on the Oscars a couple of years ago. She performed Goldfinger. The essence of elegance and class. Love her.

We are huge fans too. She is so classy and can sing just about anything! Her cover of Pink's "Get the party started" is amazing also her cover of Grace Jones' "Slave to the rhythm" is fantastic.

Greatest singer in the world.

My mum used to say she has a great face for radio.

I thought this was one of her less well-known songs but apparently it's a big favourite with hardcore Basseyites. The words are by Fran Landesman, music by Tommy Wolf.

Which one is the original ?
This one or Lady gaga's ?

I didn't know Gaga did a version...but Pink did ...and I have heard a lot of people claim it was Pink who was the original artist but I thought Bassey did hers before that....

I am not completely positive though...

She has an album that is all pop covers... the P!nk song might be from that album. In it, she did a fabulous version of Madonna's You'll See.

Yello Featuring Shirley Bassey - The Rhythm Divine

I've always loved "Diamonds Are Forever" but something about it always makes me want to go out and be mean.

....well, damn good but mean
