Do you think I should get one?
Is one enough?
Is the style too out of date?
Would you say this is an indoor or an outdoor light? Or both?

  • Only if you have something fascinating to hi light.
  • It really depends on the number of interesting things you wish to hi light. Might I suggest the gorgeous, silver framed 8X10 glossies we traded earlier this year?
  • The thing that saves you is that black never goes out of style.
  • I would stick with an indoor application.

No, but maybe a back track flight...to find out where you've been.

Depends on your decor

If you've got an industrial, sound-stage theme going on, with a dark gray ceiling, some wrought-iron accent pieces, and exposed cables running everywhere, I suppose they'd fit.

Otherwise, the track-light casing should blend in against the overhead atmosphere, so it can do its function without getting in the way.

Wow!

You mean "Black-lights" are back "IN"???

In under-grad college, my room-mates and I were pretty talented "art-wise", so we totally covered our den-room with hand-drawn art work, painted with "day-glow" paint......

You know the two by three foot ceiling tiles that can be removed.....we covered them with paper and painted on that...

It was magnificent and we had the BESTEST party room anywhere!!!

We even had the "proverbial" mirrored-spinning-disco-ball!!

Plus, the best sound system available at that time....

I encourage you to use whatever goes best with your room decor, as far as the lighting track-lights go or whatever you use to light up your world!

We would love to see your finished product too!(*8*) (*8*)

Black track lighting and gray industrial carpeting... You know what they say about guys that have that...

I OWN 2 OF THOSE!

I had no idea what to do with them so I put them over my bed, you know 'cause everyone has got to shine, and why not in the bedroom!?

BUT, I don't suggest getting them unless needed.

All JUBbers need a track light, Fleshlight, Flashlight, Flushlight, Lite brite and any light that lights what they need lit. 8)

I'm sorry, Brijan. Did you mean a black track light:

Or a track from Black Light:

I'm so confused.

.

Anyone got a light?

I just love it when threads start taking on a life of their own!!

How big and area do you want to light? A wall, a space, a hall-way. And do you want just one light or a track of lighting. Also consider looking at recessed lighting that goes into the ceiling - this can be most effective and dramatic.

Think in terms of getting a dimmer also.

The style you are showing is definitely out of date. There are smaller more decorative ones done with chrome and a variety of shapes. Go to a good lighting store and if you don't see what you like on display in the store, start looking in some of the catelogues of some of the manufacturers who make the lights. A furniture store does not often have as good a selection of catelogues.

Also another source you might try - a framing store for prints etc. The often have catelogues from different lighting companies dealing with track lighting truly related to display of objects of art.

But if i were you i would still stick with the f****g candles i told you about in the other thread.
