I was reading some posts from a while back, and there was one about seeing roomates naked or beating off. That started me to thinking, for all you who have experience living in college (or other) dorms.

Do any of you take showers with particular friends, at least most of the time?? Kinda like; "Let's hit the showers!", anything like that?

Do you tend to take your shower at the same time daily and meet the same people because they're usually showering at the same time?

Or, do you AVOID taking a shower at certain times when you know certain guys will be in there?

I'd usually take a shower in the evening, kinda trying to time it when the showers wouldn't be too crowded. Occasionally, I see the same guys, but not always. There've been a few times when I showed with a friend of mine. We'd wrestle and play box, get hot and sweety and all that, then my friend would suggest we shower together. Really nothing unusual, so I don't think you can read anything into that. So we'd do so. One evening the showers were really crowded when he called to shower. We didn't want to wait, so we even shared the same shower head...The other guys in there thought it was weird...
 
I was in a fraternity in college and we had a huge house with a shower-room/bathroom setup on each floor. It was common to shower with your friends, almost strangely that to shower alone meant you were up to something.

Freshmen year, you had to shower with a pledge brother(s) for fear of running into an active alone and getting hazed (mildly). After that, it was just what you were used. I had different roommates nearly every semester and you either got in a pattern of showering with them or showering before/after them. It was normal for me to shower with my roommate in the morning and with another friend after working out. Weekend nights it was packed and sharing showerheads was not a big deal.

It was so normal that if you were at someone's house they'd be all "I'm gonna shower, come talk to me" and you'd sit in the bathroom talking while they showered. Maybe we were oddballs. I'm a few years out of college now but those friends that were in the fraternity are still not very shy with their bodies, whether at the gym, at home, camping or the like.
 
Same here, Salinger. Open showers, no stalls. And the same when I was in the military. Nobody thought much about it. Sure caught sight of some "hoses", though. Nudity, no big deal.
 
At my school, there are individual shower stalls so nobody makes decisions based on anyone else when it comes to when to shower. I know some people who shower at the same time as their roommates if they need to shower but want to keep up a conversation, but showers are individual so nothing interesting going on there.
 
One semester I was on the supper shift as a college cafeteria dishwasher and really needed to shower as soon as I returned to the dormitory. I soon realized that one of the men in the dorm showererd almost every night with me. Had he been showering at that time every night when I worked the morning shift? Did I just happen to fall into his showering pattern? Or was he following me. He loved talking to me in the gang shower. I felt that he enjoyed the conversations more than I did. He repeated a few topics a lot. Nothing untoward ever occurred.
 
For 8 weeks I lived in a communal building. There were 4 tiny bedrooms and gang showers and urinals at the back end of the facility. Only the stool afforded privacy. The walls were thin. Eventually, I noticed a pattern. After my alarm clock went off, I was the first into the bathroom, then another American man, then an Asian who showered with his shorts on; but his eyes did rove. The other American was always semi-erect, and I suspect he was an exhibitionist. He had a lot to exhibit.
 
My dorm had four showers, at four corners of the bathroom. Each was private and had TWO curtains. The first curtain was for a small dressing area, then the second one for the shower. The sinks were in front of one large mirror in the middle of the bathroom. I heard someone say my roommate stood at the mirror naked looking himself over, and that was kind of scandalous at the time. I never saw any nudity, though walking around with a towel around your waist or walking around in boxers was common. I kind of miss those days. Oh, and girls showered there sometimes as well. Every other floor was male/female, but it was pretty casual. This was back in 2001-02.
 
In my dorm it was an open shower room - I think 8 or 10 could shower at a time. The schedule was just related to my class schedule - no one time each day. For the most part my room mate had early classes and showered before me - and that gave me some privacy in the room to jack off :-) . If you ran into someone you knew in the shower you chatted just like normal. If you ran into a guy you thought was hot in the shower you made sure not to look down and don't wash your dick or the soap may get things started!

Actually it was amazing how common place it became and you really did not even think about it after the first few weeks.
 
Oh man, showers in the dorms are some of the hottest memories I have. My favorite was the time I caught some one jacking off in them. Usually I took the group shower, because it had the best shower heads, and no one else usually would take it. I must admit that every place I have lived/worked out has always had private showers. Never really experienced the whole "hey guys, lets go take a shower" experience. I consider it a lost opportunity in life.
 
I still do it with some friends that I go to the gym with. I'm also in a hockey league and some of us shower after games. It's out there!
