I am glad that it worked out for you, sounds like it meant a lot to you.
I have no intention of trying to find my brother. The last time I saw him, 40 years ago he driving a stolen car. I can remember the car perfectly, Triumph Stag white paint red leather seats, beautiful machine, whoever it was robbed from must have been distraught. About him there is no memory, complete blank, no idea what he looked like. It is a total memory delete. That is the best way. Why infect old wounds?

Hated them growing up, we cool now though two half brothers from my father's previous relationship, estranced as kids but now as adults we've reconnected. our moms got beef, don't ask me what it's about. ?lady stuff? anyway i keep a healthy distance from my sisters, older one is kinda preachy with the church stuff, younger is overly emotional.

I don't think I have a bad relationship with any of them. But for various reasons, I don't feel really close to them. I have a half brother that is an evangelical Christian. As long as I don't say anything about being gay, he is okay with me. I don't care if he thinks I'm going to end up in hell. lol. I have a half sister that used to call me almost weekly, but in the last few years she has some form of dementia and does not know who I am anymore. I have another half sister that lives in another state. I think that we get along fine. And a full sister that lives in the same state. I have had to deal with so many of her issues that I try to keep a distance. She has gotten better, but I don't want to get mixed up in any more turmoil.

I haven't had any contact with my sister and my brothers for almost 20 years. I have absolutely nothing in common with them and we just drifted apart over the years. To be honest I don't miss them at all.

My only sister was my best friend and the most beloved person in my world. She's 4 years younger thn me.
Five years ago she survived a brain stroke that left her severely disabled. Everything is different now but we still have a strong connection.

Guess we're lucky, Have a great relationship with hubby's 2 sisters and a good one with one of his two brothers. The fourth one is Jehovah's Witness, enough said. Hosted the other three for (Canadian) Thanksgiving dinner last weekend and laughed our asses off. I'm an only child.

I live with a brother and sister and we mostly agree 80 to 90%, but often go our own way like roommates. My other sister works nights and sleeps days and I hear about her from my other sister about every 6 weeks. My other brother and I get along, but he carries some political ideas to a radical limit where I agree with him but way toned down.
