you're all aware of how Food Lion or should I say Fool Lyin conned me with their banana pudding that had no wafers, with your prayers and support I made it through, perhaps stronger than I was before.

I'm here today to tell you that Food Lion heard our protests and changed course. They've started carrying a banana pudding ice cream I'd only ever been able to find in Walmart and, for the longest time, nowhere.

Whoever invented this was operating in the spirit of Jesus because LET ME TELL YOU BIJ I feel the holy spirit coming all over me with every bite. There's huge white cream-favored swirls and lots and lots of wafer cookies. Food Lion, the ancestors forgive you, and they smile down on me. Harriet Tubman wasn't running from slavery, she was running to the freezer to get a bowl, and gracious enough to share with the worthy. I can't even talk about this anymore.

I don’t think we get blue Bell around here

I hate bananas. The nearest Food Lion is 15 miles from here.
But I'm truly glad you're enjoying the ice cream! We all need joy.

Blue Bell is a regional brand sold in 23 States throughout the Southern USA, but that may be the reason it taste's so good - local production!

Regional food brands just add to the joy of visiting friends and relatives across the South.

Blue Bell has flavors to die for!

Put that in my mouth NOW! :gogirl:

Oh yeah, I grew up in Virginia not realizing that a lot of canned and prepared foods sold in stores was locally produced. There were dozens of meat, bean and vegetable dishes prepared with seasoned pork and bacon - heavy on spices. All the flavors I took for granted!

At meal time everything was jazzed up since every Southerner knew how to add just the right touch to everything, I remember Mac & Cheese that was heavenly.

I can't explain it but something about the packaging on Blue Bell always struck me as local.
