Salut

I am 22 and I have outgrown my teenaged acne, however my skin is not completely clear. I get the occasional spot and i was wondering if anyone has any tips that could help sort them out.

I am very active and i eat healthy, that is me in my avatar.

Any tips would be gratefully appreciated

Merci

'Demalogica' is a fantastic range that have great results really quick.

otherwise I am sorry to say you may have to live with the occasional spot every now and then, witch hazel applied to the area as soon as you see/feel a spot start to appear can stop it in its tracks

oh and dont forget regular exfoliation and (if its not way too girly for you hehe) a face mask/mud pack once or twice a week will help too

thanks Lycon, where could i get hold of demalogica and what forms does it come in??

I dont mind the odd mask before a big night but the only ones i seem to get my hands on are rubbish. can you buy them online??

http://www.dermalogica.com/default2.asp?region=?&location=?

follow the link, click your country, town etc....it will tell you the store nearest to you that stocks it, its a specialist thing so basic pharmacists wont sell it.
It also has a list of products availale and what they do.

dermalogica actually do night masks that are pretty good, or Ponds are good ones, I dont remember the brand name but you can get dead sea mud masks......they smell like crap lol but work really well.
but you need to make sure you get the right one for your skin type, if its too strong it will irritate, if its not strong enough it wont do anything.

follow that link ^^ and you can do an online thing to find out your skin type so you know what products to look for

edit:
one more thing and then i'll stop talking, promise hehe

if your doing a face mask of any kind, DONT do it on the night you plan to go out, do it a few days before and then just steam and rinse your face on the night, the skin needs time to recover after a mask or it will get blotchy and irritated

I've been taking supplements that I believe have contributed alot to my problematic skin. I have very active oil glands & acnes are forming every 2 days. I did use good quality skin care that works but there are times that its just not that effective.

I included a few supplements that I thought would help me out with my problem. I took (1)Soy Isolate Protein, (2)Natural Vitamin C with Multiflavanoids, (3)Vitamin E with Lecithin, (4) Multiviamin, Multimineral & Phytonutrients, (5)Salmon Omega 3 & (6)Natural Fruits & Vegtable Fibre Supplements. About 2 weeks of taking them, my friends start acknowledging my skin. I didn't really notice it until I really looked into the mirror. That's my experience on solving problematic skin. I also felt much healthier & have more energy.

Of course PLEANTY, PLENTY, PLENTY of clean treated water. If skin problem is what you're attacking, by not taking water is like drinking poison and hoping that you'll live longer. I'm not promoting any brand here. but all I can say is take supplements & use skin care from your most trusted brand. Do your research before spending. Its your money & you have all the rights to do whatever you want with it.

I personally take supplements from only one particular brand. It's the first company to market Multivitamins in North America and have been around for more than 70 years. "Its the only company to grow, harvest & process plants in its own certified organic farms." Now that's the kind of brand I'm putting my hard earn money in...|

Perhaps you should see a dermatologist about it? Your condition could be genetic, I have an aunt who has breakouts (and she's 44) and her son has them as well and they use certain cleaning lotions which their dermatologists recommended, without those lotions they usually get acne or greasy skin on their face.

Fortunately I don't seem to have any acne problems, not even zits or pimples; and the only things I use are body moisturizers which also rub onto my face. I use Suave Vitamin E (age defying moisture) or Suave Natural Oatmeal.
