Everyone seems to be using Snow Patrol songs in their commercials or programs nowadays. I just heard their song "Run" in a commercial for the movie The Guardian. I've also heard the song "Chasing Cars" in a soap opera, Discover Channel special and who knows where else. Then there's also their song "Chocolate" on The Last Kiss soundtrack.

I love Snow Patrol so I'm glad to see all this publicity. Although I know that they have released other music and they are not a new artist.
 
They are probably one of the most underrated bands ever. Their album "Final Straw" is completely amazing. This band definately is deserving all of the attention they are finally deserving.

final straw was absolutely amazing....i'm not gonna lie, eyes open was a bit of a letdown (where did his soft, soothing voice go?), but overall it is still good stuff. i, too, have noticed the sudden surge of their music and attention for them (lots of, "NEW BAND Snow Patrol!"), hopefully they will finally get some decent sales to go along with the talent.
 
They're pretty average and boring live to be honest, which is something that I believe makes a band good or bad. (Their live shows, I mean).

Saying that, I do quite like their new song. Heard it on the Radio the other day at work.. Anyone know what it's called?
 
I just started listening to "Final Straw" and can't get enough of it. One of my favourite albums.

They'll be the next Coldplay, I'm sure. Their turgid songs playing over soppy montages at the end of ER.
 
What's wrong with people wanting to use your music in a show, movie or commercial?

I just heard "Run" at the end of the Jericho season premiere. I love that song.
