Stop looking and enjoy your youth.

depends on how picky you are or
not sure if you are picky or not.

My advice would be to never shut down and give up. On the other hand, being in love with the idea of being in love usually leads to frustration. To the extent you can, relax, and instead of focusing on finding a bf, husband/partner, romance, focus on meeting people and having fun and experiencing new things. Be open to the idea of finding someone, but don't make it your short-term goal. If you get out and meet people and are engaged with society, you'll be there when Mr. Right comes along.

Hey, about 10% of guys are gay so where ever you live there are guys just like you whether it's obvious to you or not. Get out and meet guys who share your interests whatever they may be. You don't need to go to gay clubs to find someone. There are gay guys at your work, at your school, at your gym etc. etc. Discover new friends and you will find what you want. Good luck and don't give up.

Stop trying so hard. Be friendly, outgoing and fun. Find stuff to do andjust be yourself. A happy, confident person gives off positive vibes.

in my experience when you stop looking that's usually when someone comes along that's interested in you in the mean time enjoy your single life.

Hey Henry,

You sound a lot like ME! I have been looking for a boyfriend (not trick, or fuck-buddy, or one night stand) for a long while. Well...I sort of gave up hope and went to my usual place and for a few beers with friends. That night: BOOM--Mr. Right is standing in front of me. Is it forever? Who knows, but I'm having fun.

My suggestion to you is to R-E-L-A-X and have fun. It will all happen.:gogirl:

(If any of my friends read this note they are now laughing their asses off as that has been their advice to me for months!)!oops!

Henry,

I agree with the comment above - - concentrate on celebrating your life, enjoying your life as well as you can where you are now. If where you are sucks, work towards moving somewhere better. It is your life, take control - take care and enjoy,

Rand

I agree with above commenters that gay men are everywhere, just more discreet in some areas. My gym has some butch guys who you'd never think of as gay on meeting them. It's just that they hang out at gay bars and bathhouses that a friend of mine does and I came to realize just how many gay men there are at my gym. I just met a gay cop last nite at a bar. There are gay men everywhere in all walks of life. They're around you, too.

You may not be ready for this, but if you come out I bet you will have lots of guys knocking on your door. They are probably just as frustrated looking for a guy.

The alternative is to put yourself in a place where there are available guys. Move to a big city. That's what many guys do. Have you considered going away to college?

If there is a city within reasonable driving distance, frequent the gay bars (assuming they let 18-20 year old guys in - many do). You will probably run into guys who live near you if you give it enough time.

If you haven't already tried it, try online sites to meet guys. I would pick sites that are exclusively gay so that there will be little chance that your straight friends will find the post.

In order to get what you want, you are going to have to take some bold steps and some calculated risks. Good luck!

I would also recommend the same, go out more, etc

My question to you is, what gay sites are those? do you have any suggetions or anyone?

Thanks

you graduated from high school right? are you in college? if you're not, you can meet gay guys there.

My suggest is to start making it known to the people at the various activities that you are looking for someone to date. These people know you and may know someone that would be a good match for you.

"When you go out looking for a friend, you'll seldom ever find one. When you go out to be a friend you find plenty of company."
a little corny but true.

/\ I'll second that motion.

You're not alone, I'm tired of looking too- but the thing is I haven't really been looking and was looking based with some unrealistic expectations in mind.

I "attracted" some guys in college who were similar to me but after a while nothing came of it. Maybe they were being friendly. Maybe they were secretly closeted- who knows? Sometimes guys can be ambiguous like that and you really need to refine you gaydar. Just don't over analyze guys or you'll drive yourself crazy.

I got so frustrated after a couple rounds of cycle I just gave up and ignorantly thought "I'm so sick of running pursuing guys like this and making a fool of myself. They either tell me what they want or I'm writing off everyone and giving up."

The thing is:

1. I wasn't looking in the right places that would foster a guy telling or hinting to me what they wanted (friendship or something more)

2. I wasn't boyfriend material back then.

3. I wasn't out and am still not completely out.

Just relax, it will happen. You're still young. He'll come when you least expect it. Work on yourself and becoming more attractive (being attractive isn't only about looks it also about having a good personality)

When you find yourself wondering "Is he boyfriend material?" remember you might be jumping the gun a bit and then ask yourself are you boyfriend material?

Also, don't forget there are plenty of fish in the sea online and off.

Wow so Im not the only one! yep pretty much same age and everything haha. Im also tired of looking. It's pretty frustrating.

If you stop looking, there's a chance you'll find it.

Guys who are clearly hunting can give off the musk of desperation and drive away a lot of guys that might have been fun just to spend some time with.

Laugh a lot, take some risks and I'll bet all of you will find the perfect guy. In the meantime, enjoy playing.

I live in Kuwait dude ! Being gay is like being a terrorist :P I'm out to my friends but theres no chance of finding love...just meaningles sex !
