Still not having Adobe Flash Player? Although I'm not very familiar with LinuxMint (ẗhough I know it's Ubuntu based), I could help you perhaps...

BTW, how do you install the packages? Via Synaptic or something like that? If so, then please install a package called kpackage (if not already installed) with all the dependencies. Close the Synaptic.

Then go to Adobe Flash Player site, go to Download Flash player and choose the version .deb for Ubuntu 8.04+.

Then launch Kpackage and choose the downloaded file. Then press Install and that's it. The outcome on the screen should be like Result=0. If something different, please tell me.

I hope I helped.
BTW, you cannot have Synaptic and Kpackage opened at once. You have to close Synaptic before installing something via Kpackage. If not, it will not work!

And also, would you mind trying a different distro? In my Simply Mepis, after initial setting up everything works very fine...
