I just listened to it all the way through and I like it a lot. Her voice isn't as strong as Beyonce's, but lyrically and musically her stuff is leaps and bounds above most of what's on Dangerously In Love & B'Day. One of my favorites is "T.O.N.Y.", which I think is supposed to be her next single.

I Love her new album, i went and bought it today, she has an enormous amount of talent in my opinion, i like beyonce, but this album is miles ahead of anything beyonces ever done...and probably ever will do,
but then again, i dont think comparisons between her and beyonce should be made, because her style is soo drastically different than beyonces...

i love the album, i have had it on repeat for like a week now. i really dig the retro sound and lyrically the album is amazing. i hope tony is the next single because its my fav!

Wow, my favorite song from this album, would have to be Cosmic Journey....its an absolutely amazing song...with killer lyrics, great melodies, its a very slow paced voyage into the mind of Solange...

I didn't doubt for a minute that Papa Knowles would hook her up with all the right people

Actually she had to beg for the producers she wanted. Gnarls Barkley and Mark Ronson wouldn't even answer her calls until she caught up with them and forced them to listen to some of her songs to see she was the real deal, and not just Beyonce's little sister playing dress-up.

She didn't "flip out" exactly, she just stated something she or someone else in the studio said was unprofessional.

What happened?

She did an interview with a local news station, and after the woman introduced her, Solange said she thought the comment made about her being involved with her brother-in-law and his people was unprofessional. The interviewer said she wasn't sure what she's talking about and starts looking back through her cards. Then some guy off-camera tells Solange that comment wasn't aired live on TV. She said "Oh." Then the interview continued.

Someone must've said something they didn't know she could hear.

You know, I like that song a lot but she was trying just a little too hard in that performance. It actually reminded me too much of Beyonce.

I like the song too; Solange has a better tone than her sister. Solange was not trying too hard; she's actually more of a dancer than her sister, seriously.

She ended up at #9 this week with 46,000 copies.

Yeah, i wouldnt really call that a flop.....its actually really well for her, none of the singles have really picked up steam yet....once they do, i think the album will rebound...

Her pen game is just insane... Me being a man of a certain age in my mid 20' would like to be a bit like her when I get older...

Though she's only what 21-22...?
