Hi, this is my first post. :-)
This is more of adventure story rather than a pornographic one. but there will be some man on man action at some point. But not for a while. I like romance better than hardcore weird stuff. Hope you enjoy.

Ch.1

People say you always remember where you were when a major event took place. I remember my dad waking me up two hours before school started telling me to watch the news when 9/11 happened. I remember being in computer class streaming the news when Obama went into office. It was kind of ironic considering I live in Canada, the whole school was watching it, and most Canadians didn’t really care for their own politics that particular year. Although everything I experienced in my life paled in comparison when the virus hit.
The first death was an old man. It didn’t really seem significant at the time but when word started to spread about how he died, it didn’t look good. The government tried to cover it up; they ordered the media to stop talking about it all together. Of course since the internet exists, media is controlled by the people. And when the video was leaked, it was chaos. It was the way the old man died that was the major concern. It was pretty gory. It looked like something exploded out of his hands and engulfed his whole body. When more similar deaths started to happen, people started to shut themselves in their houses. No one knew if it was airborne or something different all together. It happened to random people with no specific cause at all. Anyways, the world was pretty much shut down for a week.

A lot of people didn’t make it during the first wave and it was pretty desolate for the second. When they finally found a cure, about 20% of the world’s population was already gone. It was really hard for the people to get back on their feet again and start living their lives again. It was a slow process, but about a couple months later, it was all a horrible memory. But then even something stranger started to happen; there were stories about people with strange abilities. People could jump higher, could heal instantaneously, move things just by thinking about it or even controlling other people’s dreams. And with the nature of humans, people started abusing these new abilities. There was more than a 100% increase in crime. Not just normal crimes like bank robberies or break and entering, but there would be full out battles in the streets like people throwing fire and making water appear from thin air. The world’s justice system was a mess. They didn’t know what to do or how to fix it.

That’s when the Core stepped in the picture; a group of 30 people from different parts of the world. It’s said that they had such horribly powerful abilities that they could have easily taken control of the world. But instead, they chose to work with the world and installed order into the people. They set up international laws stating the use of powers and the consequences of breaking the rules. They put up a system where all people with powers would be registered; powers would be tested and ranked on a power scale. It took a long time to be implemented, since most of the world’s population had some sort of power. 80% of people had powers so weak, that it didn’t really affect their daily lives. These people were ranked at level 1. The other 20% could choose to make a living with their powers, which most did. People with healing skills went to the medical field and people with protection skills went into security firms. Most people found uses for their powers. Which is why I was sitting in front of this lady peering into a crystal ball in a weird smelling shop.

“I see…”, she said to me, “you are going to have an accident in the very near future.”
I stared at her unblinkingly. “What kind of accident?” I said.
“It’s going to cost you another $10 if you want the answer to that, we’re past 15 minutes.” She said with her foreign accent now weirdly missing.

I frowned at her, and got up from the multi-coloured pillow I was sitting on and left. The shop is located in a pretty shady area of town. I wonder if she really had the power of foresight liked she claimed. Well, we’ll just have to wait and find out.

Pretty good so far. Keep it up man! This slightly reminds me of a Stephen King movies called "The Stand" where most of the world just died off from a super virus.

Looks fascinating. I too have contemplated writing something like this too but it will take me large amounts of detail to get things right (for me personally).

Keep up the story!

I decided to head home after the reading. I had no idea why I was lured in into that weird shop. It wasn’t even on my way home from school. Jay had been raving about her for weeks. He said she knew everything that was going happen to him, right down to the barely pass on his Psychology paper. But even I could have predicted that. Mr. Thompson’s Psych class is the hardest in the department; I had no idea why Jay wanted to take it with me. Then a thought occurred to me. Did Jay use his abilities on me? Jay is a level 3 user with the power of suggestion. Basically, he can talk people into doing stuff. I didn’t really feel him using his powers on me. He must have used a little bit every day he talked about it so I wouldn’t notice. A sense of betrayal started boiling up in my chest. I’m going to have to have a talk with him later. I can’t believe he would do that to me!

I opened the door to my apartment, and yelled, “I’m home” Like I always do. Usually, my mother would yell back at me “Why are you home so late!?” But not today … or rather not for the past year. I picked up the photo frame sitting on the hallway table and stared at my family. They were all victims of the virus. My dad and my sister were caught in the first wave and my mother was caught in the crossfire between two power users before the Core came. I still think of them every day. Dropping my backpack to the floor, I headed to the kitchen to get something to eat. Left over pizza and soggy fries. Yum.

The next day I was gazing out the window in the school hallway waiting for my class to start.
“What are you looking at?” Jay said from behind me.
“You know, I was just wondering what the world would be like if the roads were covered in green fake grass like the field” I replied, looking at the perfect greenness of the grass and the little people playing rugby down below.
Jay snorted behind me. “You are one messed up mother fu… OOOHHF!”
I turned around quickly and slugged him in the gut.

“What was that for!?” He whined.

“That was for using your powers on me. I can’t believe you did that to me.” I sighed. “I went to that fortune teller and wasted my money. You owe me $20 for a waste of my time.”

“Wait… what?” His face scrunching up in a confused manner, “How did you know? Not even some level 5’s can tell what I’m doing! I don’t see how you, a level 1, could even notice.”

I waved my hand and sighed, “Cause I’ve know you for way too long. You think you can play me, but really… you can’t.”

“Yea ... That must be it.” He replied, “That or I’m losing my touch.”

“Whatever, it would be a good thing if you did. You rely too much on your abilities. Look, you can buy me some dinner at the pub after school to make up for it.”

“Humph. Fine. Meet me at the stairs in front of the pub after class.” Jay said as the sour look left his face and was replaced by a smile.

I’ve known Jay since we were kids. We practically grew up together since we were neighbours. He always has this aura of happiness around him. With his short cropped blond hair and deep blue eyes, he was a looker. I would see girls fight over each other to get the chance to talk to him. He would use his charm to get what he wanted and when he got older, his 6’1 athletic toned body only added to the package. He certainly didn’t need his powers on suggestion when they came to him. Since then, he’s gotten kind of lazy with the charm. I personally think it’s been MIA for so long, he doesn’t have it anymore. I can’t say I didn’t have a crush on him when I was a teen, because almost everyone did. But I smartened up and realized that he was better off a friend. I had no chance anyways. For one thing, I was a guy and he is most definitely straight. I have short dark brown hair, and brown eyes. I’m not skinny or chubby or toned. I’m just very normal and with my 5’8 frame, I’ve very not noticeable. But I don’t really care. I kind of like being this way.

As class ended, I dashed out of the room and headed for the stairs. I could already imagine putting a spoonful of beef and potato stew into my mouth. The pizza and fries last night didn’t really do anything for me. I stood at the top of the stairs looking for a sight of Jay. It was crowded since it was a Friday. I noticed a large hand shoot high in the sky connected to a Jay’s smug face and I lifted my hand in response. I also noticed Alice, Jay’s current girlfriend, standing next to him and wave to her too. Just before I took a step forward, I felt someone bump into me from behind and I started tilting forward preparing for my fall down the stairs. Most people would panic and scramble for a way to stop the fall, but I didn’t. I just watched as Jay’s face turned into a panicked horror and his futile attempt to try and save me. He was way too far away to catch me. Why would he even try? This is what I thought while the concrete was alarmingly speeding up to meet my face.

Then suddenly everything stopped. My face was 10 cm away from the ground. Only after a couple seconds I registered the large hand on my shoulder, arm around my waist and foot beside my head. This must look like a very awkward pose I thought. As I turned to thank my saviour, I suddenly stopped still and widened my eyes. Staring back at me, and very close to my own face were very beautiful grey eyes. It was like I was looking up into the stormy sky right before the lightning hit. It certainly felt like the lightning hit.

“Are you okay?” said the stormy guy with a deep rumbling voice like the echoes of thunder.

And then I saw the look of concern on his face which made me smile. What a nice person I thought as I replied, “I’m fine. Thank you for saving me.” With a full on grin plastered to my face I said, “If it wasn’t for you, I would probably have my blood all over that step.”

A look of relief washed across his face and he smiled at me. I noticed the dimples as the smile reached into his eyes. Then a felt a sharp tug pulling me on to my feet and saw Jay holding my arm.

“Watch where you’re going!” He yelled at the stormy guy. “You could have seriously hurt him!”

Oh, I thought to myself. He was the cause of it and very quickly the handsome features of the stormy guy faded.

“oh. I’m sorry, I didn’t see you” Said the stormy guy as a tint of red crept up into his face.

“That’s okay” I replied, “It was an accident.” And I turned to go down the stairs “Lets go eat, I’m starving!” I said to Jay while walking towards the pub.
Alice finally caught up to us wide eyed and grinning.

“What’s up?” I asked, “Did you like watching me fall to my death?”
“NO!” She said while hitting me lightly on the shoulder, “Do you not know who what was?” pointing at the retreating form of the stormy guy.

“No, should I?” I replied

“That’s Taz Armstrong” she said as she looked at me in a disbelieving manner, “The only level 6 in this school!”

“Oh. Okay” I said, “Come on, let’s go eat, I’m starving for some beef and potato stew.”

Ch.3

Sitting in front of my steaming bowl of beef and potato soup at the pub with Jay and Alice, I try to look nonchalant as I worry about that level 6. I hope he doesn’t make trouble for me. I don’t’ really want to deal with it. I didn’t really pay attention to who was who at my school. I knew there were a couple of level 3’s and a few level 4’s Alice included. But I didn’t really expect there would be a level 6 at this school. I heard of a story about another level 6 that could level a building with a swipe of his hand. The Core had to be called in to deal with him when he went on a rampage. A whole city block was pretty much gone by the time he was subdued.

Sighing, I pull out a packet of paprika from one of the hidden pockets stitched into the inside of my coat and sprinkle some over my soup. I hate it when my food is not properly seasoned.

“You are the weirdest guy I’ve ever met,” muttered Jay with an amused look over his face.

“I think it’s cute” Alice added.

“What?” I shouted with a defiant tone and a glare at Jay.

“You heard me”

“Whatever” I turned to Alice, “So who’s this level 6 you’re so interested in?”

“Oh em gee, I still can’t believe you’ve never heard of Taz.” She replied. “He is only the hottest guy at this shitty school”

“Uh huh.”

“His light brown hair, bright grey eyes, that perfect smile, awesome arms, six pack, 6’3, captain of the rugby team, honour science student and that perfect, perfect ass”

“Okay”

“He’s going to be something great when he leaves this school, you know. Not like most of the people here,” She took a quick glance at me “no offence.”

“None taken”

“People say he can control the weather, but no one’s really seen him do anything. They say that he doesn’t really want to mess up the local weather patterns so he tries not to use his powers. Isn’t he so considerate?!”

“I guess so. If he’s so great, why have I never heard of him before?”

“Of course you never heard of him, you never hear about anyone! All you do is stare out the window like some stoner.” She sighed, “You’re so lucky. I wish I could have been in your position.”

I gave her a look disapproval. This girl is obsessed. What does Jay think of this? I turn to look at him and see him intensely focused on eating his hamburger. Hmm, she must talk about him a lot, I thought. Well now that I know of him, I should probably keep an eye on him just in case.

*********

A ringing sound woke me from my nap. I fumbled around for my cellphone and answered.

“Hello?”

“Hey!” yelled Tony, “Where are you? Did you forget it was my birthday today? You’re supposed to be at the club already!”

“Oh shoot. I totally forgot. I’ll be there as soon as I can. Sorry bud”

“Whatever just get your ass over here. Maybe you’ll actually meet someone.”

“Heh.” And I hung up the phone and hauled my ass out of bed.

I’m not really a club kind of person, it’s not really my type of scene. I’ve been to one or two for a friend’s birthday, but I would never go there for fun. The idea of drinks combined with jerky dance moves against other sweaty people kind of repulses me. And when I would walk out of a club, I would wonder where my hearing went.

I stepped into the dim lighted club and I winced as my ears started ringing with the pounding music and a waft of sweaty body odour entered my nose. Great. Let’s get this over with. I instantly try and scout out Tony and his group of friends. I spotted Jay by the bar and headed over.

“Hey!” I yelled, “Have you seen Tony?”

“Yea, he’s around here somewhere.”

Then I noticed Alice behind him, except she had her back turned to us and was leaning slightly forward. I reached over Jay and tapped Alice on the shoulder.

“What are you doing?”

“Oh hey! You finally got here, but buzz off, I’m trying to listen.” And she turned back around.

“What is she trying to listen too?” I asked Jay.

“Not what, but who and take a guess” tilting his head towards a tall brown haired guy with broad shoulders wearing a t-shirt several sizes too small for him.
“I’m going to guess that’s Taz”

Suddenly the music stopped for just a beat emphasising the loudness of when I said Taz. To my surprise and embarrassment, Taz turned around to see who called his name. Shoot. When Taz’s stormy eyes connected with mine, he smiled, and started to walk towards me.

I glanced at Jay and quickly told him, “I’m going to find Tony.” And I hastily got out of there feeling Taz’s eyes burn into my back. Sighing with relief, I finally found Tony in the corner with his face between some girls chest grinding into her. This shouldn’t even be considered dancing, this is total foreplay. I considered breaking up their little public display, but I thought Tony would rather appreciate dancing with her than me wishing him a happy birthday. He looked kind of out of it anyways, I doubt he would even remember.

So I headed towards the exit finally relieved to leave this place. Taking my first steps into the chilled fresh air, I stopped in my tracks as a large hand landed on my shoulder. I prepared myself to attack and turned around quickly. To my surprise, stormy grey eyes filled my vision. Shoot.

“Woah” Taz raise this hands into the air and released a soft chuckle, “Don’t worry, I’m not going to plant your face into the cement again.” A playful smile spread on his face.

I looked at him, waiting for him to say something else. What did he want?

“Errr… um. Di- did. I’m sorry about what happened earlier today.” He said fumbling with his words, “I want to make it up to you.”

“How?” I asked narrowing my eyes.

“Uh, did you eat dinner yet? Want to grab something to eat?”

Not particularly wanting to eat something with him, I reviewed what was currently in my fridge in my mind. Cheese, mustard, milk, celery, cucumber, and half a lemon. Hmm, I need to go grocery shopping and made a mental note.

“Sure, that would be great.” I placed a smile on my face. Free food is always welcome in my books. Especially since grocery bills are so high now a day.

“I know a great little bistro that’s still open a block over. Want to go there?”

“Yea, sounds good.”

Ch. 4

Sitting down, I took a quick glace around the bistro and noted the nice décor and the ambience dimly lit by candle light. This is definitely not a place for a quick meal. He must be really sorry if he took me to a place like this and scanning the menu the waiter dropped off, thankfully I don’t have to pay for the meal. I looked for cheaper priced items that offered good value. I didn’t want suck money out of the guy. I settle for some random pasta, and took a sip of my water.

“So what’s your name anyways?” He said, “I tried asking around, but no one knows who you are.”

“Why were you asking around?” Narrowing my eyes.

“I just thought I should know the name of the guy I almost messed up.”

Sitting back and crossing my arms, I take a long evaluation of the guy. That t-shirt of his sure doesn’t leave anything to imagination. He must be cold. But the rest of him, I can only re-quote Alice’s perfect. My nose gave a little twitch. Gross. He’s wearing way too much cologne. He must have been trying to pick up someone.

“Well are you going to tell me?” He grinned.

“Yea, fine. It’s Cale.”

“Heh. Kind of reluctant to give that up huh? Well tell me about yourself.”

“Hmm, not much to say. Psych, 20, live alone, not attached, no job, level 1.”

“Living alone huh?” His grin grew wider then faltered and his eyebrows drew close together, “Level 1? I would have pegged you for something higher.”

“Nope, just a plain ol’ level 1. I know it’s nothing compared to your 6”

He grinned again, “So you were asking around about me too? Huh?”

“No, my friends gf insisted on tell me all about you.”

“Oh. Well. Um. What’s your power anyways?”

“Nothing fantastic. Nothing compared to you controlling the weather.”

“Tell me anyways.”

“It’s kind of embarrassing.”

“Come on.”

“Why do you want to know so much?”

“Curious.”

“I can light fires.”

“That seems more than a level 1 ability.”

“No, not when it’s as weak as mine. I can only light the smallest of fires.” Taking a glance at the candle, “For example look at the candle.”

The candle started flickering on and off, on and off, on and off like I was playing with a light switch.

“That’s the best of my abilities.” I said, “If it wasn’t already lit, I would have a lot of trouble lighting it.”

“Well that’s kind of cute.”

I frowned at him.

“Um. I- I mean.” He stammered

“Whatever”, I sighed.

We made pleasant conversation getting to know each other better. Things like what we like to do for fun, what’s good on TV, games, sports and so on. At the end, when they took our plates away he asked me if I wanted dessert, but I declined. He pulled out his wallet and slipped a black credit card to the waiter.

“Black? Are you super rich or something?” I asked him.

“Nah, my dad is the rich one.”

“Right, which means you are rich.”

“Heh. Maybe so.”

“What does he do?”

“Oh, he owns some company called Yutres.”

“What exactly do they do?”

“I don’t know. All I know is that they do something with acquisitions and mergers.”

“Hey rich boy, you should probably go that find out. Anyways, thank for dinner.” I said as I got up to leave. “Maybe I’ll see you around school.”

He caught my hand, “Hey, don’t go yet.” He smiled, “I want to talk to you some more.”

I tried to shake my hand loose from his. His grip was firm, and from the look on his face, he wasn’t about to let go.

I sighed and sat back down. The night was late, and I wanted to go home and sleep.

“So what are you…” He started, sounding like he was starting a long conversation. I put my head on my hand, looking at him. After a few minutes his voice started to fade into the background. I yawned deeply. Enough of this.

I focused on all the candles in the room and snuffed them out. The restaurant plunged into darkness and I bolted quickly from my seat to the door. Probably less than five seconds passed by the time I was outside. I relit the candles. Taz came into view looking slightly disoriented and noticed I was gone. He quickly looked around the restaurant and saw me on the other side of the window. He quickly stood up from his seat with a surprised look. I gave him a wave and a smile, and I bolted down the street, turned the corner and headed home.

I shut the door to my apartment, went to my room and collapsed onto my bed. I turned my head and looked at the clock, 12:59 am. My assignment should be coming soon. I rubbed my face into my soft pillow and waited. The sharp tip of a card entered the back of my head like it had been thrown from behind.

“Ouch!” I yelled and lazily searched for the card with my hand. I turned over and stared at the Caper the friendly ghost mask floating in the air.

“I wasn’t sleeping!” I angrily told the mask, “You could have just handed it to me.”

“Meh” the mask replied with a ghostly echo.

I found and card and looked at my instructions.

-Keep watch on Taz Armstrong-

Sighing. These are pretty vague instructions. Who is writing it these days?

“I’m already doing this!” I told the mask. I crumple up the card and threw it as the mask. The card as well as the mask disappeared in a soft laugh.

“Have fun”, it whispered.

Ch.5

I spent a long time trailing after Alice in hopes of her stalkerish ways. The first couple of days didn’t produce any results, but then I took a closer look at my surroundings. Alice doesn’t read books but why was she in the library for? I followed her gaze through the window and there he was. Captain of the rugby team practicing rugby on the field below and wow, those are short shorts and very big legs.

By the weeks end, I found out what classes he has, where he ate lunch, where and when he practiced, what he did after school, who his friends are and where he lived. Creepy Alice, I thought, and now creepy me. My days were filled with pretending to study, pretending to read the newspaper, pretending to talk on the phone and watching Taz. Fortunately I blend into the background, so no one really notices me.

Is this what detectives do when they are on the scout for someone? This is seriously boring. I feel sorry for them I thought as I straighten out my newspaper. I was sitting outside on the top bleacher next to the cement wall today; it was way too hot in the library. They should really get air conditioning. Hopefully my grey clothing will let me blend into the cement. I take a look at my watch. 5:10 pm. He should be halfway through his practice. Yawning, I started to read the lifestyles section. Cheese crackers huh? I should make some. A large drop of rain splashed down on to the recipe section. What the heck, there was no way it was raining right now, I thought as I raised my head to look at the sky. Instead I see Taz looking down at me drenched in sweat.

“Hi” he said as he smiles.

“Hey”, I replied lowering my newspaper. I got a full view of Taz, sweat drenched polo and short shorts sticking to his body. Sweat ran down his face dripping at his chin that grew a short stubble. A couple drops slid down his neck into an open polo that stopped above the line of his broad pecs. His shirt hid nothing. Alice was right; he does have a 6 pack. Impressive. The only thing not on view was behind the cup that was held close to him by his jock. He was radiating body heat like crazy and in this temperature, it was unbearable. With him breathing heavily on me, I was starting to sweat just being in front of him.

“Like what you see?” He asked me with a smirk.

Cocky much?

“No, nothing impressive.” I retorted taking one last glance over his body then looked back at his face.

“Sure, whatever” he said clearly not believing my answer, “You know, I’ve never been ditched like you ditched me last week.”

“Impressive wasn’t it?”

“Very, I would have run after and caught you if the waiter gave me back my card faster.”

“That confident huh?”

“Yes” He leaned in closer.

I backed up a bit. “So what’s up?”

“It’s not like I’ve never been ditched before. But being ditched then stalked. That’s kind of weird.”

“I totally agree with you, but who said I was stalking you?”

“It’s pretty obvious.” He turned his head towards the empty bleachers.

Shit. When did the other people leave?

“I know how it looks, but I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I said trying to save myself. I can’t believe I got caught so quickly. I stood up to leave.

“Hey wait a minute.” He pulled on my arm towards him.

I bounced off his hard body and flopped onto the bleacher. Half of my front was now covered in a light coating of sweat and the smell of man. Luckily Taz’s sweat smelled decent. I looked down at my hands which took most of the damage, and then looked at Taz with a face of disgust.

“Whoops, sorry.” He smiled. “I just didn’t want you to walk off like last time or rather, run off.”

“Heh.”

“I just wanted to invite you to my party on Saturday at my house.”

“Why?”

“Cause I want you to be there.” He said turning around to go back to the field, “And you better be there.”

I am totally not going I said silently in my mind and watched him descend the stairs. Wow, those shorts hide nothing. I could see everything, even the straps of his jock.

Sighing. No point of being here any longer. I need to cool down, I thought. But I couldn’t be sure if it was the heat in the air that got me so hot.

********

Friday rolls around and all I’m doing is standing in front of an empty wall in my apartment. They’re kind of slow today I thought to myself. A light started to shine near my foot and drew upwards over my head leaving a shining mark like silver. It traced a pattern of a door with no doorknob. Then slowly dimmed leaving a chalk like drawing on my wall. I pushed forward on the wall, and slid through it. I never know what on the other side, but I’m usually pleasantly surprised. I step into a large boardroom overlooking the streets of Manhattan. Swanky.

I looked at the rest of the group and sat down waiting for the meeting to begin. Everyone was dressed head to toe with a mask on for identify purposes. I, myself was rockin a black desert nomad outfit with a cute Japanese cat mask.

“Hey Cale.” The ninja turtle mask said as I sat down.

“Hey Derek.”

Everyone already knows who everyone else is; the full get up is for security purposes in case someone we don’t know happens to walk in. Derek was the one who controlled the, what I like to call, the transport holes which brings all of us together.

Five people walked to the front of the room and began the meeting.

After the world settled down after the power scare, the Core appointed five of its own members to deal with the matters related to Core. Yes, I am in core. And no, I am not a level 1, I’m far from it. After witnessing my mother die before my eyes I realized I had to do something about this mess. In my anger I wiped out the two who killed my mom. I wished they just didn’t exist, and then one moment later… they didn’t. At first I was glad that they were gone and that they couldn’t hurt anyone else. But I realized my mistake, who was I to judge their crime when I didn’t fully know the facts. I tried to bring them back, but I couldn’t. I could bring something that looked like them back, because that was all I knew of them. I didn’t know their personalities, their lives or who they were. They were just empty shells. Right then and there I vowed not to play with other people’s lives and existences. I had a great power, but as spider man says, also a great responsibility. For days, I poured over the ethics on my powers. Limiting myself to what I could and could not do. Still to this day, I really have to think about what I’m going to do before I do it. Most simply I try not to use my power so I don’t have to think about the consequences. I joined Core to help fix the world, and they help me control my power or what they thought they knew of my power. No one really knows, not even I do.

As the meeting ended with the final updates to build an international abilities school, for those wanting to further their own skills, Jared and his Casper mask call me over to the other four.

“Cale.” He said with a ghostly whisper. “Did you do as we asked?”

“Yea, why did you want me to do it? I was already keeping tabs on him in case he went into a rampage.”

“We’re concerned about his father’s company. We’ve been sensing strange activities with powers going on there. We need you to get closer to him and find out what’s happening.”

“Why don’t you just ghost yourself into their company building and find out?”

“I already did but there was nothing there. We suspect it’s happening at his house. I tried looking around, but when tried to ghost in, something pushed me back out. We already asked the members of the Core with shifting abilities. Even Derek couldn’t get in. We need you to go to that party and find out what it is.”

“Whoever is hiding whatever is in there, is as strong as or even stronger than us.” Vicki piped in, “We’re hoping you could get through.”

“Stronger than all of us? I doubt it.”

“Don’t be so naïve”, Blake said, “Even though we stop ranking at level 6, which many of us are well above, there could be dozens of people out there that could easily avoid our detection.”

“Since you are probably the strongest of us”, Jared whispered, “We were hoping you can break through, especially since you would already be in the house.”

“Fine, I’ll go”, I snorted.

“You’re still young Cale, when I was your age I was quite the party animal, you need to go out more.”

“I don’t need to be told to go out and party by an old man”, I said as I walked to the doorway in the wall. “I’ll see what I can find out.” And slipped though.

I am loving the way this story is turning out...its making me excited to see what will happen.

This is quite an interesting story with all it's futuristic nuances , cinosnem. I like all the strange twists you bring into play. Besides, I love a good romance and this is reading like the beginning of one. Welcome to the story forum.

Ch. 6

I sighed deeply. I was standing in front of the mirror getting ready for Taz’s party. My hair not agreeing with me any way I slide my hands through it. Doesn’t look good swiped to the left, right, down or up. Dishevelling my hair in frustration I walk away to pull on an old vintage t-shirt, my favourite pair of jeans and a ratty pair of sneakers. I turned to look at the mirror so I could see my ass. I really need to sew up that large hole over my left cheek, I thought, oh well good thing I’m wearing my fantastically coloured boxers. I was never a tight form fitting jean type of guy, I like mine slightly baggy but not too much that it looks like it would fall from my waist. I came to the conclusion after walking up the stairs behind one guy that had some low rise jeans so tight and so hicked up his ass that his jeans were giving him a wedgie. He walked like he was the hottest thing in the world, it was not flattering and I was embarrassed for him. Grabbing my wallet and cell from my table, I headed off to Taz’s.

This was certainly not what I expected. I stood at the entrance of the back yard from which the butler guided me too. The backyard was befitting of the mansion house. A large multi-tiered pool with its own mini waterfall, a lovely manicured lawn complete with rose bushes and hedges shaped like various docile animals and some sort of standing tea party going on at high tables. I was guided to one of the tables, and mysteriously a tea cup and plate with a scone on it appeared before me.

“Huh”, I whispered appreciatively.

I brought the tea cup and sipped. Hot chocolate made with milk chocolate, cream and a hint of Baileys Caramel. My favourite drink, how did they know?
“They brought in a special caterer with the power to know your desire through food and drink, if you’re wondering.” A redhead with a weirdly shaped nose said to me. “My name is Clarisse, level 4, from the Gaftex company.” She handed me her card and I looked down at it. Super nice quality, heavy pound paper, expensive.

“Um… I’m Cale, level 1, from - uhh… the university. Uh… Sorry I got no card.”
She stared at me and then and then at my hand that held her card. She quickly snatched back her card and walked away to another table. Wow. Rude much?
“Rude much?” Said a pretty blond with forest green eyes as she walked up to my table and stared the redhead down. “Don’t worry too much about Clarisse; she’s all stuck up about level and position. Actually most of the people here is like her. You happen to be standing next to one of the few who don’t give a damn.” She said and gave me a wink.

I stared at her, slowing taking in her beauty. Wow, what a bombshell.
“Hi Cale, I’m Julie by the way”, sticking out her hand. “Level 5”

I took her hand without responding.

Turning her attention to the party she said, “Isn’t this a bore-fest?, I’m only here because my family is old friends with the hosts. Not to be rude or anything, but why are you here? This doesn’t seem to be your type of thing.” She gave me a once over with her eyes.

“Oh… Uh – Taz invited me. I thought this was going to be like a normal party.”
“Ah, figures he would drag someone into this to ease his boredom. We’ve been attending these things since we were kids and ever since the virus, it’s been more and more of a way to spread your contacts among with the rich and literally the powerful. I doubt anyone here is less than a level 4.”

“Oh, you know Taz well?”

And with that, she practically launched into her life story with Taz. Apparently they grew up together and were almost like brother and sister. She used to be this huge tomboy that use to do everything that little boys did. She told me that their fathers were business partners a long time ago before they were rich. As puberty hit, she no longer wanted to hang out with him, because she was way to cool to even be seen with him. And once in a while I would nod my head and give a snappy but funny comment.

“Oh look, speaking of the brat, there he is.” She said pointing into a crowd of richly dressed people. I didn’t recognize him at first, but that was because he was all dressed up. He was dressed in a simple ironed button up and dress pants. Nothing fancy, but even still it looked like he belonged on an ad for Harry Rosen. Even in formal clothes, you can tell he had a great body. Damn, he cleans up good. Like he could read my thoughts, he raised his head from his little group, scanned the party, noticed us and grinned. Julie gave a small wave and a fake little laugh.

Then I remembered what I was wearing. “Jeez, he could have told me about the dress code.” I mumbled.

Julie laughed, leaned in, and hooked my arm with hers. “Whatever, it’s not that big of a deal. Let’s get out of here and let me show you around.”

“Sure” I said, this would be a great opportunity to look around for any clues.
Taz looked up from the conversation he was having and a look of alarm crossed his face. It looked like he tried to leave his group, but as he did; more people surrounded him wanting to talk to him. Mr. Popular, even among the rich and powerful.

I smiled at this and turned my head to leave. I choose to ignore the hand he held up wanting to catch my attention telling me to hold up.

Whatever, time to get on with my mission and with that Julie and I walked side by side into the house… err, mansion.

----

So that’s that, as we walked into the main area. It was quite the tour. Only people with serious money could dedicate rooms for tea, reading, and star gazing and also have an indoor squash room, and gym. This place is more like an indoor community rather than a house. But still, I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary, well out of ordinary as in evil.

“That’s pretty much all the rooms on the first floor. The living quarters are on the second. If you want to see that you have ask Taz to bring you.” Julie said with a wink. “And oh look, looks like Taz finally got rid of all those suck ups.”

I turned around and saw Taz walking this way. Julie leaned in close and put an arm around my shoulders with her hand caressing my neck. Taz noticed this, and started to talk faster towards us. A half run and half walk. It looked weird.

“Hey Cale, I see you’ve met Julie.” Taz said trying to step between me and Julie.

Julie tighten her grip around my neck preventing Taz from breaking us apart.

“Yea, we’ve have.” Julie said with a polite smile, “He’s such a cutey.”

“Well, I think I should show him around the house a bit.” He said as he put his hand on Julie’s trying to wrench it off my neck.

“I’ve already shown him around.” She said pushing her body closer to mine.

“I’m sure you haven’t shown him everywhere.” He said, now physically trying to push her away.

“I haven’t shown him upstairs yet, but that’s okay. We were going to re-join the party.” She said with a strain in her voice trying not to lose ground.

“It’s okay. I’ll show him upstairs.” He said finally succeeding in pushing Julie away. She flopped away with a yelp and regained her balance after fumbling a little.

“Well”, she said straighten out her clothes and hair, “Fine.”

“It was nice meeting you”, I said.

“Likewise”, she said giving Taz a glare of death, “We’ll meet up again later.” She gave me a wink and a smile then walked back towards the party.

Taz turned his attention to me. “Sorry about not meeting you when you got here, I couldn’t get away from those people. Come on, I’ll show you my room.” He said as he grabbed my hand and pulled me up the stairs.

Taz closed the door behind me and I looked around his room. It was as big as my whole apartment. His king sized bed was positioned on a slant to take up more room, there was a huge 62” flat screen along the wall with a sound system and games, and all the works. Surrounding it was a 3 seater couch and a lazy boy. At the other corner was a mini kitchen and another door to what looks like a large master bathroom. Woah.

While I was gawking, Taz looked down at me, then his large hand took hold of my upper arm, dragged me across the room and threw me on his bed. I didn’t mind at the act of aggressiveness because landing on the bed was like landing in a huge downy pillow it was so soft. Must be stuffed with duck feathers, I thought to myself as I slowly rolled around in it. All thoughts of the bed disappeared as Taz eased himself on top of me pushing my body into the bed. He grabbed both my hands and pushed them above my head. I felt his weight sink into me even more. If his bed wasn’t so soft, I would probably be straining to breath. He stared into my eyes with this starving look I would see on street animals. It was kind of really awkward.

“You are so hot”, he said gruffly, trying to lock his gaze with mine. “You are such a tease with those pants.”

His mouth went straight for mine, and instinctively I quickly tuned my head to avoid it. So instead he pushed his mouth into my neck. His tongue lightly brushed against my skin as he sucked and kissed from my collarbone to the bottom of my ear. I was clearly in shock as this happened to me. I could smell the alcohol in his breath and from the smell of it, I could tell he drank a lot. No need to guess what was in his magic tea cup.

He started to grind his hips into me and I instantly felt it. I started to blush deeply. How big was this guy? Nine, ten inches? It felt big, large and firm against my body. He let go of one of my hands, and drew his own hand slowly down my arm and all the way to my waist feeling whatever he could. I gasped as he pushed it under my shirt taking the same route but in reverse. I quickly grabbed his wrist stopping his ascension at my chest. He immediately took his thumb and started to rub it against my nipple. I started to feel something strange, as he did it. It gave my own cock a little jump and before I knew it a small moan escaped my mouth. I could feel him smile against my neck as he continued to make out with it.

I can’t believe this is happening, I thought to myself. I can’t believe I moaned!
His other hand let go of mine, and trailed to the back of my head holding it still as his mouth started to reach higher and higher. I could feel his tongue licking my skin fiercely like he was trying to taste all who I am. His top lip was barely touching mine, and he was breathing into my slightly parted mouth as his tongue reached higher and played slowly with the edges of my bottom lip. He slowly bent his head forward and softly kissed my lips. His lips were softer than I expected I thought as I closed my eyes. And then he pushed down hard with his tongue entering my mouth. An explosion of feeling grew from my lips and wrapped around my brain. The soft lips now had a hidden firmness behind it and his tongue, a large muscle trying to replace my own saliva with his own. He moaned into my mouth as his stiff body relaxed into mine. His hand was no longer playing with my nipple and instead has slipped to my back pushing my body harder into his. My brain was overloading with sensations and thoughts. I was feeling like I was being drawn into him. Like he was using his body to protect me from the world. Like he was seducing me into loving him. Like he was somehow making a claim to what was his. My emotions were stirring so rapidly, that I thought I could give it all to him…

… Wait a minute. Protect me? … CLAIM ME?!

I don’t think so.

I need to take hold of this situation. I opened my eyes and surveyed my surroundings and thought about my options. Taz was still grounding his face into mine, and his tongue in my mouth. I brought my hand slowly to his head, and cupped his face with my fingers tracing his temple. He moaned into my mouth as he thought I was finally responding to him. I sent my power through my fingers and caressed his temple. His eyes started to droop and his kissing slowed down to a stop. And there I was with a sleeping full grown man on top of me with his tongue still in my mouth. Shoot, I thought, I guess he was still holding back some weight. I wedged my arms in between us and pushed with all I had in me. I slowly got him to roll off me and I sat up taking a deep breath. I looked at him and smile. I stuck his tongue back into his mouth. I sighed, ran my hand down my face and blushed deeply. I can’t believe he kissed me. My first kiss too. If I didn’t have to do this mission, I just might have, just might, have let him kissed me a little longer.

I got off the bed and walked to the wall and put my hands on it. Let’s see if there are any hidden places in the mansion. I sent my power into the walls and into the foundation looking for any hidden rooms or passageways but I came up with nothing. There wasn’t anything missing that I didn’t get to see on my tour. That’s strange. In fact, the house even isn’t protected by anything. That’s stranger. I sent my power into the air around the house and something screeched like nails on a chalkboard in my head. Yup, there it is. Some sort of shield covering the area around the house. It’s pretty well made too. But what is the purpose of it if there isn’t even anything to protect in the house?

What a wasted effort, I thought to myself. I looked back at Taz’s sleeping form, before I left the room. I hope you don’t remember any of this I thought. I shut the door behind me.

Wow! Cale is one dedicated dude.....lol I would have succumbed to that situation and forgotten my mission... Now, to find out what this force field is protecting. I like the quirkiness of this story plus the romance and erotic escapades.

Thank you..Thank you...Thank you!!! I have been checking everyday for this update...definitely hot!

This story is so good, I'm enjoying it so much. This should be an actual novel. I love stories like this. A world with a dark background. It reminds me of a manga I started reading a long time ago.

Its called Alive: The Final Evolution.
It's about these people all over the world who randomly begin to commit suicide. The world believes that it was caused by a virus which they call the "Suicide Virus"
People who have the virus, but didn't kill themselves end up with various special abilities. It's a great manga although I'm not sure if you're into anime.

You're characters are also what I love about your story. They're fun and likable. They remind me of the people I hang out with. My favorite character's so far are Cale and Julie. I love the twist on Cale pretending to be so week and ending up to be so powerful. I love his dark back story. It's the topping to the cake of his character. His pain is his drive. I love his determination and his reluctance, reminds me of my Boyfriend(He's all about his business lol) I like Julie because she just screams "bad bitch" and "Fun and trouble"

I love the direction of this story and I would be FUCKING DEVASTATED if you left your fans hanging. But I see you havn't updated in a while...](*,)
But I;m really cute and I would suck your dick if you finish this story!
(*8*)

Oh here's a link to a website where you can read the manga I'm talking about.

I hope you enjoy if you decide to read!

Cinosnem,
I somehow missed your story when you first published it.

An intriguing tale. My first thoughts about special powers and registration was X-Men. My kids have been on a roll watching them all in repeated marathon sessions.

And, I see other people posting similar thoughts about other books, movies.

You write well, and are developing an interesting story.
I have enjoyed it. I hope, maybe when things in the real world calm down, that you will be able to resume with more chapters.

Thanks for sharing your time and effort in crafting this story for us.

@MarKo17 Ah. Thanks! Yea, I totally forgot about this story. Sorry!

@DonQuixote :O I LOVE XMEN. I wish i had the shows so i could watch a marithon too.

Thanks everybody for reading! I'll definitly put up a new chapter...... RIGHTNOW!

Ch.7

I emerged from the wall exhausted and tired. Right after the party, I had to go to the Core to explain what went down. Obviously excluding the encounter in Taz’s bed, I went over and over through the details of the shield and what he found. It was all just a jumbled mess in my head. Nothing made sense. What exactly is that shield protecting? There was nothing in the house to protect. After many hours, the only conclusion the Core and I was able to come up with was that it was not a thing that was being protected, but rather a person. A person that knows something that started this whole thing. The Core suspects the father. I decided that I didn’t really need to think about this right now and zombie walked to my bed, fell in and promptly fell asleep.

“Cale… Cale” A soft whisper echoed through the room, “Cale…”

I pulled the blanket over my head and threw my pillow at Jared’s floating mask.

“What is it?” I mumbled through the blanket. Man, was I tired and grumpy.

“We’ve got a situation”, He said, “Something is really wrong. Get dressed, you’re going somewhere public.”

As a member of the Core, I must respond to all situations dealing with Power users. I have to admit, it’s horrible for my sleep schedule.

Sighing, I creeped out my bed and pulled on my black nomad outfit and mask. 6:15am the clock read as I walked into the wall and through it. “This better be good.” I said.

I ended up at some sort of office. There were people in navy sitting around working on paper work. Oh, it’s a police station. I am so tired.

“Where am I?” I asked Jared.

“Don’t you know? It’s your city’s police station. Have you never had contact with them before? – Nevermind. Don’t answer that.” He whispered, “You need to deal with this situation.”

“What situation?” I asked him.

There was a short silence and I turned my head to face him. He was gone.

“Damn it.” I said loudly and turned to survey my surroundings.

15 cops were staring up at me. What the, staring up? I looked down and saw that I wasn’t on ground level. In fact, I’m actually standing on a file cabinet next to a very terrified looking cop who was trying to file a folder.

“FREEZE!” I looked up to see one of the cops with this gun pointed right at me. “PUT YOUR HANDS UP!”

Now I totally understood where he was coming from. Here I was dressed in black nomad clothes with a mask and standing in a dark corner on a file cabinet. For all he could know, I was a suicide bomber. So I did what he asked.

And there we were; 14 cops staring, 1 pointing his gun at me and me staring back with my hands in the air. No one was quite sure what to do next.

Finally after what seemed like forever, a door opened from across the room and a large burly man stepped out into our staring contest. He took one look at the situation and then took a look at me. “HUNTER! Lower your weapon. That’s our Core area representative.” He as he walked up to me. He stuck out his hand and said “I’m Chief Harold, it’s nice to finally meet you in person.”

I stepped off from the cabinet and gracefully floated down, took his hand and shook it. “Likewise Chief Harold. You can call me Cale”

***

Whenever I complete a Core assignment, it’s required that I work with the police to get everything filed and organized according to the law. So that means I have to file a report, and bring in the culprit to get processed. But I just take that as suggested guide lines, what I actually do is just drop the guy into a cell with his powers disabled, and pop a brief write-up about what went down onto the chief’s desk. The whole thing probably takes less than a second to do. Which is why I do it that way, no one sees me, I don’t see them, and I don’t have to wear a ridiculous outfit for gosh knows how many hours it really takes. I’ve been doing it this way ever since I got assigned to this area.

I’ve never actually met Chief Harold before but now that I have, he’s a lot shorter than I thought he would be, I thought while I sat in front of his desk. I’ve always stereotyped cops as tall manly men who could overpower and dominate everyone around them, like that cop who pointed his gun at me.

“Thank you for coming in”, he said, “You’ve probably already been briefed about the situation.”

“No, not really”, I mumbled putting away a reminder to tell Jared what was on my mind.

“Oh – well um, about a couple hours ago we found one person in a hibernated state in a small laboratory just off Bernard and Duffel. He doesn’t respond to any type of stimulation so basically he’s in a deep sleep. The building itself is registered to Hector Wither who cannot be found at the moment. He was hooked up to some sort of machinery with no identifying purpose but we assume it was the cause of the hibernation. He was strapped down to a chair which looks like unlawful confinement. We don’t have any leads to what happened here or what was the purpose. But what we do know that the man is a registered power user, a powerful one at that. He is a level four with the ability to control the speed at which objects are pushed at. “

“Hmm… so you've got nothing?”

“Correct. I know you’re use to dealing with out-of-control power users, but technically this falls under your jurisdiction as well, concerning the power user.”

“That is… true.”

“We have a couple of officers down at the scene right now. So if you need any help with this case, feel free to ask.”

“Okay… Do you think I could get a ride to this place? I didn’t exactly travel here by car. And my ride kind of left me here.”

“Oh… So you don’t travel by… power?”

“No, it doesn’t work… that… way…”

“Oh, I always assumed … because of the reports and … stuff. Anyways, I’ll get someone to drive you there.” He said as he got up and walked to the door.

“HUNTER, ASSIGNMENT” He yelled.

“Really, out of all the people you could have chosen…” I said to him.

Chief Harold gave me a smile.

“Sir.” Hunter barked as he walked up to the office.

“I need you to escort Cale here around for the day.” Chief Harold said.

“The whole day?” A look of annoyance crossed Hunter’s face.

“Just until he stops needing you, do you have a problem with that Hunter?”

“No sir.”

Chief Harold turned to me, “Good luck.” and walked away.

I didn’t know if that was a good luck for the case or for dealing with Hunter. I gave Hunter a quick glance and sure enough, he was giving me a death glare.

Maybe it was for both.

***

“So, why do you need me to drive you around?” Hunter asked me, “Why don’t you just use your powers?”

“It doesn’t work that way.” I replied.

We were sitting in his squad car driving to the crime scene.

“Why doesn’t it?’

“It just doesn’t”

“I mean like, you pop in those guys into the cells, why can’t you like… pop over there?”

“Cause I can’t”

“Why?”

“I just can't, okay?"

After a few moments of blissful silence, he started again. “You know you shouldn’t pop those guys into the cells.”

“Why?” I made a face at him through my mask.

“We have rules for a reason. Everyone should follow them, including you guys.”

“I follow the rules. Maybe not to the specific guidelines, but I do what is important. What do you mean you guys?”

After an awkward pause, he said, “Well you should follow them; it would make it a lot easier for all of us.” Totally ignoring my question.

Man is he uptight, and I suspect that he kind of dislikes people with powers, or maybe just me. Giving him a good look, I notice that he’s really attractive. Not the Taz sort of pretty face, model body, and all perfectness, but rather an attractiveness that comes from his presence. With short cropped brown hair, light brown eyes, strong jaw line, what looks like a permanent 5’o clock shadow, 6’3, and what I could tell, he keeps in shape. Although many may find that good looking, what really draws me in is that alpha male presence which he is definitely extruding. I wonder how old he is.

“How old are you?” I asked him.

In response he gave me another death glare.

“It wasn’t a condescending remark, it was a real question. I’m curious.” I said.

“Twenty-eight” he replied. “How old are you?”

“Can’t tell you that.”

“But you’re younger than me right?”

“Um… yea.”

“Thought so.”

If he wasn’t such a prick, and this wasn’t a job, I would kind of accept my attraction to him.

Forcing the thought to the back of my mind as we pulled up to the building, I surveyed the place. It looked like one of those out of date clinics in the glow of the blue and red lights of the squad cars and the sunlight peeking over the horizon. I walked pass the taped entrance and into the building.

“Hey! You can’t go in there!” A random cop yelled at me.

“Relax, he’s with me.” Hunter barked.

“With you?” I said, “It’s more like you’re with me.”

I got a grunt in response.

Of course the building was just a front. When I walked inside, it was like walking into a secret laboratory filled with shiny equipment, lots of buttons, and monitors. And sitting next to it was the hibernating man still strapped to a machine. Hmm… What’s up with this. I stood back thinking about what I could do to find out what happened. I could read the guy’s mind.

I stepped forward and touched the man’s temple and started to read.

It was blank. There are no memories, no thoughts or any dreams. His mind is an empty shell. That’s… really weird. Whatever they did to him totally took his mind away.

Hmm… I could see what this machine does.

I lifted my hand from the man to touch the machine to read its history.

It was built… two months ago… by… Gaftex... to… transfer powers?!

Holy crap. Someone stole this guys powers.

How would I find out who did it?… Ah. I know how.

I calmed my mind down and pushed out all sounds. I started to focus on the room and imagined the room as it was before it was discovered by the police. I imagined time starting to slowly flow backwards as the room gave me various imprints of the presences’ it held. Whispery people only noticeable by an outline of a faint grey smoke that were walking backwards at a 10x reverse speed. The only thing that wasn’t changing is the man in the chair. I looked at the clock. 8pm. Let’s stop here. I grasped at the imprint and let it flow as it was supposed to.

“Hurry up!” A voice came from across the room. “We don’t have much time.”

“Okay, everything is in place.” A faint image of a man said next to me. “Get yourself set up Jonas.”

The man Jonas was sitting next to the no longer hibernating and terrified looking man. “Ready to go.” Jonas said.

The process wasn’t as gruesome as I thought it would be, actually it was quite anti-climactic. I thought there would be some screaming happening, or something. The machine just started to beep, and the man in the chair slumped asleep. Nothing really exciting.

“Did you get it Jonas.” A female voice said.

“Let me see.” Jonas said as he touched a pencil on next to time. The pencil shot out from under his hand and lodged itself into the wall opposite from him. “Yeah, I got it.”

“Good lets head out.” She said.

I turned to the voice to see who was talking.

Frizzy red hair and an ugly nose filled my vision… I thought I recognized that voice. It’s Clarisse from that party! She’s an employee from Gaftex… who made the machine…

A large hand suddenly clamped down onto my shoulder, and I let out a surprised yelp. The images evaporated like a gust of air sweeping away dust from the desert.

“Are you alright?” A deep voice asked me.

I let my mind refocus on my body to draw me back to the present and I found my face pressed against something warm. An arm was curled around my neck attached to the hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see who I was pressed against. I stared up into the gaze of brown eyes. Damn of course. Hunter.
Quickly dislodging myself from this embarrassing situation, I took the time to re-evaluate what I learned. So, Taz’s dad is in the business of stealing powers. I’m sure people would definitely pay well for it. I probably have to meet with the Core to discuss what went down and what to do about it. I sent a mind message over to Derek to open a doorway to the current Core office.

“Are you alright?” Hunter asked again.

With my thoughts in order, I finally realized I forgot to answer him.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” I replied.

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah” I said as I turned to walk to the chalk outline drawing itself on the wall.

“Your services are no longer needed.” I said as I turned to face him. “Thank you officer Hunter.” And walked through the wall.

Dear Cinosnem,
An interesting chapter, indeed!

The plot thickens.
I vant to suck your powers . . .

But, what happens if someone tries to accumulate other peoples' powers - they didn't develop them on their own - will they find they can't always control what they've stolen?

Will they overload?

Stay tuned for the next chapter, lol.
