im not out to my mom yet, heres what my mom said to me(summarization):

"the other day i saw Sally(made up name) at the school meeting and the topic was homosexuality, and she was all yelling things like 'why are we even discussing about these things in the school? its wrong!', then i said to her 'i heard that some people were born with their sexual orientation', then she replied 'how is that possible? how can some one born like that, you are born a girl or a boy, not a girl and a boy at the same time!', then i just laughed and stopped talking to her."

then i laughed with her because her impersonation was really funny, made me really happy =)

Somehow......Mothers know.......they can even tell when were really just little kids, I guess by the toys we play with or the other little kids that we play with ....or something......they just have that "instinct".

On top of that, she knows AND she's accepting of it! All mothers may know, but that doesn't mean they all accept it. Take the opp!
 
You mom opened the door and sounds like she is very accepting. My suggestion is to have the conversation with her. Just rememeber that she loves you
