Does anyone have a recipe for baccala? I am talking my mom and grandmother used to have it on Christmas Eve and my mom can't remember how the sauce was formed for the pasta. She says it was very thin and you could almost read through something if you put it in the sauce. For that matter she really doesn't know too much about the cod except that you needed to soak it for a couple days in water to remove the salt. I am thinking that since they had pasta with it my grandmother might have taken tomato paste and mixed it around in some pasta water for the sauce. Could this be done would it make a sauce combining those 2 simple ingredients?
