Hi, I'm 19 and I live in Toronto. I've recently decided to "donate" my sperm. There really isn't any negative sides. Also I'm STD free and healthy.

I've heard that you can get paid for sperm as well. I think it would be nice if I did get paid. I could always use a little cash. and I don't really mind fathering a child, b/c I'm pretty sure I have no obligations to the child

Question is I'm never done it, so anyone got experience to share? The process that I have to go through, anything I need to know? Did I get any information wrong?
 
You could father a child and not worry because you'd have 'no obligations'?

I don't think I could rest if I knew I had a kid out there somewhere, and certainly not due to shooting in a plastic beaker.

But I suppose there's people out there that need it.
 
it's for couples who cant have their own. i'm sure the bank only give out sperm to qualified couples.

About fifteen years ago, friends of mine asked me to donate sperm for them.

I was deeply honored, but declined, explaining that it would entangle us too closely, and I would feel that the child they were raising was really my child, as well.

They were able to adopt, and I was very happy for them.

Sadly, our friendship became less and less important to them after they has their son.

In retrospect, I would still decline.
 
I think its really common for college age guys to make money donating sperm.

i know i sound shallow and moral-less right now. However, that is kind of how I feel about the whole situation. I really have no problem with it at all. The ideal age for this is only 18-25 anyways, so I feel like I should grasp the golden age while I can.

I do like the idea of mini-me being around the world, the pay is an added perk. I am fully aware of the result and what is going to happen.

So do you have to prepare at all? How often can you go in? Because I can go in twice a day :) What are their requirements?

All you want to donate is sperm. Heck for the right amount of money I'd give them a whole testicle. What do I need two for anyway. Just put a similarly sized replacement in please. It would be nice if it weren't an urban myth to donate it and get $30,000.
 
I'd do that if there weren't so many things wrong with me that could be passed on to the child (particularly mental disorders). I wouldn't wish that on anyone, even those I perceive as enemies.

Dude,

I know these things often are confusing/difficult but you are right. We all jack off so much for without any real end except to make ourselves feel good. Making it possible for another couple to bring up an upright citizen is well worth it. You are doing something well worth while.

Sperm Bank used to be my nickname. Guys used to drop by for a deposit all the time. Now the banks closed,... temporarily.
